I'm not a Haye fan by any means, but that was a PATHETIC SHOWING. He either didn't train hard or he was shot.

Haye-Bellew is like Rod Salka coming up to welterweight and stopping Manny Pacquiao.

I'm amazed he managed to train hard enough to get in the shape he did...

I wonder if he got injured in the fight or had issues prior to the fight.

Broken old body...just like Wlad. Lets see if Wlad can handle AJ...

This might be the year of dowfall of old tiring greats. Pacquiao and Wladamir next? Although Haye has been shot for years.

I think he was knowingly shot beforehand and thought he could just walk in the ring and knock Bellew out in three rounds. The injury rumor was true and he just didn't want to pull out so close to the fight.

He probably got injured close to the fight and didn't want to let the fans down or be seen as a bottler and get the big payday.

He was injured all along. Needed the money so desperately so didn't pull out.

Tried his best to win early, looked wild and sloppy, injury popped again the 6th, still won rounds, made it look competitive, lost, didnt mention any injury post fight interview, already trying to drum up rematch interest as wants another pay day.

All he cares about it money at this stage, his body is too broker to compete properly.

I think David knew that he was slower then usually and just relied on a big shot early to knock him out. He didn't look that great in his comeback wins despite winning hard early and lets not forget he's 36 years old with his last few years being full in injuries.

This might be the end of Davids career.

^ Summed it all up in one post pretty much.
but im not sure if he came back just for the paydays or if there was some genuine belief that he was over his injuries and fully rehabilitated.

Either way, anything from here on out is just for the money, little doubt about it now.

Was he? He was a good cruiser... But he didn't stay long enough to be great. Most of his hw fights have been against has beens or never weres.... His mouth got him press. Way more than actual talent.

Fight was a joke before Haye was injured he couldn't land/hurt Bellew then Bellew couldn't out out a limp Haye? All the love in after the fight, no mention of the injury from anyone, bring on the rematch ha!

Haye should have stayed retired. Now he's tarnished his once great legacy with defining wins against heavy hitters such as Thomas Bonin, Monte Barrett, Marc D'Amori and Arnold Grajergargjh

Not just that but since his return he had two joke fights where I counted just two punches from the opposition in two fights, how can just two rounds against grade z give you proper match practice for future big fights?answer it can't and no amount of sparring can compare.

I can't remember anyone sticking their neck out and picking Bellew, wish I'd of put the house on it lol
