I see David on his Instagram is back in the gym and still a good weight… will he be tempted to do a fight with 1 of the legend Tyson, Jones type fight ( or even Briggs )

We know his body can’t get through a real camp but for a exhibition it could work

He was absolutely top class in his prime. It’s a shame if he ruins his legacy further by losing a stupid exhibition. He must be skint again.

Great cruiserweight but his legacy is already shot to bits.

    1. Great mouth not backed up by the promised KO action at Heavyweight and he stunk the division right out in the pursuit of PPV loot.
    2. The 'TOE' is his heavyweight legacy where he conned 20,000 Brits into travelling to Hamburg (including myself) to see him take a tame points defeat. The Brits were seething post fight and he got jeered all the way to the dressing rooms when he left the ring.
    3. His legacy was obliterated after taking 2 bags of PPV loot and being beaten by a mediocre Tony Bellew.

The man is a professional conman and will be more famous for poking the PPV Mugths with all his pre rehearsed acting with Bellew to reel them in.

The bellew fights were really just forerunners to the old man fighting now. He would have known his body was shot. He was out of the ring for years.

So if he did well out of them financially I doubt he would go a step lower

Course he knew, they all knew. Haye had to fly out to see his specialist during fight week i believe. Those PPVs were such a con job. I still havent seen the 2nd fight and never will.

Why would you want to do some exhibition? It’s degrading.

I wonder what the specialist said to him, he must have known his leg was knackered surely.
Might be getting my fights mixed up but he was off from the first bell. He can't have done much training

Loved him as a Crusier, talked well, could bang but at Heavy he became a bit of a snake oil salesmen and didn't really back things up after a promising start. There were still some big fights for him at cruiser but he seemed to swerve them.

Easy money, and no real danger of getting hurt.

I am not sure why boxers are so bothered about "legacy". You're a boxer, not a philosopher or politician.

Holyfield was losing quite a few bouts when he was past it. Shame for him that he got robbed against Valuev.

If Haye wants to do exhibitions then he might as well, he loves the cash. I don't think that at all diminishes his achievements. He already got KO'd by big mouth Bellew twice in a row. It doesn't get much worse than that for him.

I wouldn’t watch it but Haye is a decent bloke, I heard he helped Nick Blackwell financially after his tragic fight against Eubank Jr.

You guys are being a bit harsh on him.

Prime Haye was a different kind of monster.
