So you hardcore fight fans have seen the times that David Haye compared himself to Evander Holyfield. Now, if you want to talk about a light heavyweight/cruiserweight coming to the heavyweight division, OK, yes they both did that, but that's where the comparison ends.... in my book....

Holyfield had ****in heart, Holyfield chased Mike Tyson for years, before Tyson went to prison. Holyfield knocked out the guy who knocked out Tyson (Buster Douglas). Holyfield lost to Riddick Bowe, was out matched, and came back to win the rematch on pure guts. Pure guts. Holyfield NEVER and I mean NEVER ducked or dodged anyone! Tell me a time Holyfield called someone out like Haye did the Klitschko's, and found every reason in the world to avoid actually fighting the guy or guys he called out? You can't! Holyfield fought the best, beat the best, and was the best.

As Ric Flair famously always has said....
TO BE THE MAN, YOU HAVE TO BEAT THE MAN....

David Haye has proved literally nothing, NOTHING, in his career, other than the fact that he's a good fighter, with no heart, and doesn't want to test his own skills against the best because he's a *****.

    DAVID HAYE IS THE ANTI-HOLYFIELD....

    Now vote...

David Haye talks well , and has beaten a couple of names , but really to be compared to Holyfield he would have had to have fought a trilogy with Vtali and knocked out Vlad. But this is the sport of today , all the public who dont know boxing in the UK really believes that Haye is the undisputed Heavyweight champion and the Klitchko's are liars with their heavy handed contracts. Its actually the other way around Haye is the liar.

Why doesn't he compare himself to Riddick Bowe? Apart from the size and skill he has more in common with that guy. :think

Riddick Bowe was a much better fighter. No doubt in my mind.

Davo voted that he thinks Haye is as good as Holyfield. Can we ban people for being so stupid?

Totally mis-clicked. Please strike my vote from the record.

IN NO WAY DO I THINK HAYE IS ANYWHERE NEAR AS GOOD AS HOLYFIELD!

Haye would have to beat both Klits well to even mention his name in the same breath as Holyfield. Even then I still think he'd be a long way off. I really don't think there is any way Haye could ever approach greatness with the current crop of heavies and his self imposed short career span.

Haye was a very good cruiser but Evander has him beat in that department too. Haye is a good fighter but Evander is an ATG. I have no problem with Haye claiming he's the best in this shitty era (true or not) but he is a total dick for using BS Holyfield comparisons.

David has Holy talent but he doesn't have Evanders warrior mentality nor the skills. The potential is there but I don't think he'll reach Evander's status.

At least Holy earned himself a titleshot by fighting his way up, beating contenders one by one, after vacating cruiser titles!! He used his fists to earn he undisputed title and not his mouth...

Remember how Holy (a past prime holy) kept coming at Lewis, despite lennox hitting harder than haye (with any shot), having a better reach, chin, a more varied arsenal of effective punches, more heart and stamina...

Evander Holyfield would be the thing of nightmares for david Haye

Holyfield fought Tyson, Foreman, Moore, Holmes, Lewis, Bowe, Ruiz and Valuev.

Haye fought Ruiz and Valuev. And threw less punches against Valuev than a brain damaged Holyfield did. Impressive.

Holyfield fought 4 guys that are a lock for top 15 heavyweights of all time (Foreman, Holmes, Lennox, Tyson)

Haye fans will talk about how overrated the Klitschkos are but Haye has refused to fight them.

Chris Byrd, a former middleweight has fought both Klitschkos. Sanders a semiretired fat golfer did as well. Both have more balls than David Haye.
