David Haye deserves a lot more credit than he gets,
His whole career (so far) he has been 2 steps ahead of Macrinelli. Theres been a hell of alot of buzz around a possible Haye v Macrinelli fight these past 2 years and rightly so but then he lands a shot at Mormeck. So now hes just knocked out the the Undisputed Cruiser Champ of the World and is struggling to make Cruiser does he make the step upto heavyweight and beat a few nobodys to break himself into the weight. Nope he decides to have one last fight at Cruiser to handle business!!! he wants there to be no doubt in Britain who the best cruiser weight is.

Now Ricky Hatton on the other hand has just lost his biggest fight of his career, on his way back down to 140lbs (claims to be best in the world at this weight) will not make a fight with Junior Witter because of Witter trash talking. Complete rubbish the reason this wont be made is out of fear what it will do to hattons career if he loses.

Please do not start with the Hatton Hater **** as I believe at this moment in time Ricky wears down Witter for a wide UD.

The point I am trying to make is we (boxing fans) should embrace the David Hayes in the boxing game. Boxers that just want to prove there greatness by fighting the best available!

My fave boxer ever: Erik Morales will end his career with more defeats on his record than Audley Harrison. The fight game is getting ruined by the attraction which is a unbeaten fighter.

Who are the fighters that you honestly feel will fight anybody?

i agree with you there. i truly respect david haye, he took a fight with enzo purley for the fans, he didnt need it. however he will be getting his credit very soon i believe as he is very tallented.

the fighter that i think will fight anybody is Paul williams and edison miranda. there are more but these are the first ones that come to my mind

    any more?

People will remember Erik Morales long after they have forgotten Audley Harrison. Records can be deceiving - it is more relevant who you have fought (wins and losses) than merely an undefeated record.

For instance ODLH, 38-5, but has been in with everybody - compare this to say Joe Calzaghe 44-0, who has only been in with a couple of fighters even remotely capable of troubling him.

OLDH has a secure legacy - JC doesn't, yet.

I think Haye's attitiude to boxing is what impresses me the most, he seems to want to take on all comers, regardless of the danger, so he has my respect, not sure I actually like him though!

Haye is all class no doubt the sport needs more like him but at the same time if he knocks out Enzo which he obviously thinks he can do rather easily, he will become a mega star in GB

I'm just worried that by weight-draining so severely he's going to end up losing a fight that he ought to win, and that it will harm his chances at heavyweight.

I know he has his pride, and he wants to be the best in the country, but pride comes before a fall. **** pride. The only thing that really stops me picking David Haye with ease is the weight-draining issue, otherwise I'd be betting money on him. At a catchweight of 210lbs I'd pick Haye without hesitation.

I'm not knocking Enzo, he's a good fighter in his own right, but he's not David Haye and anyone who knows boxing knows that Haye is the one who should be getting exciting about. This is the pinnacle of Mac's career, this is as far as his natural will take him. However this could be just the beginning for Haye's career, as his talent could take him all the way to the top of the Heavyweight division.

And if he loses, which I doubt, the weight-draining will be a factor. I know a lot of you Calzaghe nuthuggers are gonna be calling that an excuse or a cop out after the event, but it doesn't make it any less true. Haye has to lose 20-30lbs to make cruiserweight. No other boxer has to lose as much weight in the whole of the sport to make weight, well, apart from Ricky Hatton, but thats different, the fat little *******.

If he loses I still think he'll go on to destroy a few big-name heavyweights. I'd pick him over Ruslan Chagaev in a heartbeat.

You don't have to like him(for arguments sake though, I think he's a ****ing legend), but you have to respect him. Proper old school.
