If Haye can get himself fit within a reasonable time period, then a rematch should happen.

I'm glad haye accepts that he is now British level, and has put any dreams of world title aspirations on the back burner.

Maybe his fanboys need to take a leaf out of his book and accept that he lost to bellew. Haye is not whining or taking credit away from bellew, instead he has given him his dues which should be the case considering many thought he had no right to even share a ring with Haye.

He's just been brought down a peg or two and humbled a little... He can't really spout anything else at the mo to make himself look very silly and lose the little respect he has left in the game..

Reality has finally hit home.... Lol

Haye is in boxing for money... he was "nasty" to Bellew originally as he knew it would lead to move ppv. He is now bigging up the rivalry because he knows it will lead to more ppvs, and a chance at a big money rematch.

Boxers are basically actors when promoting fights, just got to laugh at people who take their personas seriously.

As usual you live in cloud cuckoo land, as that is not what he says at all.

i thought he came across well in this interview, better than Bellew in my eyes. he is keeping it simple whereas Tony is going on about walking Haye down and not mentioning the injury. people are not stupid, Haye is being clever about it, not digging at Toney at all.

How can he dig bellew after all the noise he made?

He's played it smart, but don't pretend it's out of geniune good will, it's media and playing the game to get the rematch.

Remember Bellew asked him before the fight, if he had any injuries and not to make any excuses after the fight and Haye agreed.

If Haye won, he'd be doing exactly as Bellew. Don't pretend otherwise.

i just replied to you in the other thread lol

well yeah thats what I mean, he is smart enough to play it straight and I think he has come across better than Tony. I agree he is playing his own card but at least he isnt doing these little digs Toney is, as the winner. the thing is as well, Haye doesnt really need to lie or make out it was something it wasn't, the public can clearly see he was injured, whereas Tony is almost trying to dismiss it. in the post fight Eddie brought up Haye's leg was injured and Toney said "was it?", are you trying to tell me he didnt notice. he tried to shrug it off

Am I missing something here but does anyone else find it strange that there was rumours of an Achilles injury before the fight yet David Haye says there was nothing wrong with his Achilles and the injury came out the blue, that's a little weird isn't it more a coincidence. As anyone got more information about the substance of the rumour that David was injured before the fight because I think I'm right in saying was a rumour of an Achilles injury.

Exactly, he's just trying to look the better man for the moment, like I said. He'd look rather silly if he didn't..

He's doing nothing more than trying a different con approach now... It's laughable, the same old brigade will fall for it hook line and stinker.... Lol

David is loving this, he has restored his damaged reputation after the Klitscho and Fury disasters and improved his public image. He can now rematch and beat Tony and then go forward on the heavyweight trail with more PPV's and public support. When he beats Tony convincingly everyone will know he lost the first fight because of injury (although he still fought like a 'warrior'). Whole thing is a farce.

Two months to recover from ruptured achilles, let's say Haye can fight again around August. The only question is will Bellew sit about till then, probably not if a Parker ppv is on.

The thing is...is david haye still ppv material. I dont think the second makes as much as the first anyway. Bellews struggling himself to be genuine ppv. Haye was at one point. But it was a long time ago now. We dont even know if he can complete a fight anymore. Why would people pay twenty quid when theres a genuine danger he comes in injured or gets injured as the fight goes on. It would need to have a much better undercard this time round which would mean less for these two. Plus i think they gave up the ghost when they basically squashed their problems after the bell. One of them that maybe got signed but people arent that interested when the fight actually comes round. Theres no glory in haye beating bellew...its a guy most thought he,d take out in 2 rounds. Again bellew beating haye...hes already done it.

Haye got bad luck with the injury. But he was on a last chance anyway. If he does want to fight...he,d be better getting back and going a much different route but it would realistically need to be on normal tv or an undercard fight on ppv at best. 3rd fight trilogies with bellews more embarrasing from him. Desperate for money now by the looks of things and doesnt actually care if he wins or loses. He d be better to call it a day...and concentrate on sorting out his life. He pretty much showed his hand against bellew...should be happy the money he got from it...not many 36 year olds with 5 year lay off could dream of making money like that. Needs to now go away and prove hes even worthy of a bellew rematch tbh.
