Well, he kept his cool, and stuck to his gameplan. And he has real power. I've always been a fan anyway. So he had a boring fight, Valuev is an anomaly, Haye is always exciting. I think he could have done more though, he could have KO'd this guy, he had the power. I wish he had landed that punch in the 10th at least. He would have been much more willing to throw and maybe have enough time to KO him.
Well of course I do, he's the saviour of the division, isn't he? I expected some kind of offence, not running for eleven and a half rounds. Both. Haye will run for anyone who can crack his chin. Which, at HW, is basically anyone who is not a total bum. Everyone feasts on bums and looks spectacular, it's how you look against the top that matters. Against anyone worth his salt, Haye will run to protect his egg chin. Valuev is slow as ****, even ancient Holyfield tried to put the heat on him.
This is all wrong and you have no evidence to back it up, this was the first time Haye has ever fought like that and I see no reason why he would do it again. He stayed away from Valuev so he could not use his weight to wear him down by leaning on him. At least give the man a chance hes been in the heavyweight division five minutes and already won a world title alot of people didnt give him a dog's chance of winning. Lets just wait and see and not get our knickers in a twist. A fight with Ruiz will be different take my word, Ruiz gets knocked out.
The only thing that i am now conviced about , is that haye himself realises he has a weak chin for hw and this is the reason why he ran d whole night. Cmon guys 50 years old holyfield did twice better than him , i thought he'll dominate the gaint and outpoint him like 11-1 or 10-2 , but he barerly got the win in a disgusting fashion ,and the last guy who scored a md on valued did 10x times better Job. I dont think he is any threat to klits at this point, his chin wasnt tested even once in that fight , but with the klits in the ring it iscompletely diffrent story, their footwork is far superior to valuevs , and there is no chance in hell that haye would be able to avoid being hit like he did last night.no chance. I want to see him with adamek.
Because although Vitali is a big guy he is still comparable in size to Haye. Valuev would have leaned all over Haye if they got in close and worn him out for the knockout. Please watch some old Haye fights, this is not natural for him, he will be happy to getting back toe to toe with fighters like he did with Macarenelli. Im not saying Vitali wont beat him as he is a class act but Haye will fight differently against him.
It wasn't about Valuev's size, or him leaning. It was about Haye's chin, about it not holding up at heavy because it barely held up at cruiser. That's why Haye ran, he could not afford getting tagged. He can't afford that against anyone at HW. Imagine Haye fighting Vitali Klitschko, Denis Boytsov or even someone like the farmer from the Ukraine Vladimir Virchis. He'd have to run, because they'd knock him out at the first landed punch. It will only get more boring from here, not less.
he proved his power, speed, conditioning and ability to adapt to the situation....i'd say i'm definitely impressed
