David Haye didn't do all that bad.

yeah i agree, Haye went up in my estimation to be honest, I fully expected him to get sparked, the man has balls of steel.

 

True but hating Haye is the new "in" thing on ESB. Most of these guys jizzing everywhere thought Haye would be KO'd from the first Wlad right hand. Turns out he can take a punch from the hardest hitting heavyweight in the world.

 

As a K2 nuthugger I have to say so far I am disgusted by the fans on both sides post fight so far.


It was a great and exciting fight, haye did his best but lost. I for one enjoyed the fight and the post fight excuses from haye mean nothing to me.

This fight set heavyweight boxing back to a point to which I'm not sure it can recover.

 

Ya ppl can say what they want , but Haye did about as good as he could have considering the style matchup and the size disparity. He really had no chance, other then to throw caution to the wind , bc he was the smaller man and doesnt know how to fight on the inside at all.

This was also the most exciting hw fight in a while, which says alot about the state of the division.

 

Haye kept his power because he threw 2 shots per round.

 

wow! this was one of the worst fights i've ever seen. you can respect the fighters all you want but it was terrible to watch.

 

He got outclassed. End of. It's like saying Kevin Johnson didn't do that bad. 11-1 on my scorecard.

 

Name a more exciting Wlad fight in the last five years son.

 

right,fair play to wlad,i hate his style,that he has the attributes to be lewis like,but he doesnt fight to his potential,but haye didnt do enough and wlad did enough to win in his boring way he always does.

wlad is good,but hes no ATG,and haye is finally a good solid name on the record,a cruiser no 1 unified champ,and a fellow heavy champion. wlad got the record and wins,but his style is just so bad,i cant like him if i tried.

Haye did not pressure,did not throw enough combinations,waited,his footwork was off balance,he didnt follow up good shots landed,he didnt stop the jabs with punch/pawing.

he could have left jabbed and then left hand right hand combinationed wlad,he needed to rush and follow up with shots landed.

the toe had some effect,but the gameplan and desire needed to be more.

i was shocked to see both had such good chins,shows the determination and conditioning pays off.

i think wlad with his clinches,and holding behind the head could have got enough points/telling off to get disqualified tbh!,he wins by cheating with bending rules.

that ref was a joke,haye got a Knockdown for being pushed,the ref let steward influence his work and the ref then lost his credibility.

Haye needed to go out of his style of counter punching,pot shotting and not coming forward and putting combos together.

i do think there should be serious consideration on making a super heavyweight divsion,30 pounds is a ridiculous difference!.

If haye cant go into fight without injuries and cant fight to best of his ability cuz of this then retire,hes been cruiserweight unified champ and a heavyweight champ,hes no atg,but thats good acheivments and hes been exciting to watch and listen to!.

if he can not get injured,fight arreola,adamek,chageav,povetkin,chambers. he can win all those!,and maybe be unified/undisputed if klits retire.

i think haye maybe has better chance vs vitali,vitali is older,slower,less co-ordinated,less techincal,less power(but better chin and fight spirit).

neither really won tonight,and us fans lost too,neither put it all on the line,neither dominated in any exciting impressive fashion,haye showed how wlad can be got at,wlad showed that haye couldnt pressure and fight out of his style enough.

How can you guys say it was a bad fight? I think wlad did extremely well and especially early on it was exciting, but basically from round 8 up it became more tactical and wlad was dominating, good performance in the most important fight of his life.

Yep, for a guy that was supposed to get KTFO, he did ok. Just needed a better offensive gameplan.

I don't understand all the hate, well I do, Haye has attracted a lot of haters, I hated on him too, but we all knew there was every chance he'd try to fight Haye like he did Valuev. He talked alot of ****, but so did Wlad, and he didn't exactly punish Haye all 12 rounds and then knock him like he promised. If ever we needed reminding fighters only talk up fights to hype them..

Watching it, the fight actually came and went by very quickly for me, which was odd for a boring fight, without much action. It wasn't that entertaining, but I wasn't that disappointed. Wlad deserves props for the win, Haye props for taking the fight and actually managing to go the distance, which was many more rounds than I thought he would.
