Haye is getting too much ****. It's tough going against a guy like Wlad who is taller and powerful. I think Haye should have followed up his overhand right with more punches though and fought in the clinches more like he did in the 12th. He actually did better than I thought he would and his head movement impressed me. Wlad is just a different type of animal though and the fight wasn't as boring as HBo was trying to say.
Klitschko did not lose anything, Haye did not win anything..if you know what I mean. Was not so bad. Would lik to see a rematch. Looks like W. Klitschko is a cut above Haye but even in a rematch one punch could change the fight. Liked it when they both went back to their corner after teh first round and Haye had this look on his face like, this guy is realy good, and then he recaptured himself and decided that he still had 11 to go.
He did much better that i thought he would. Props to him. You cant say The fight wasn't competetive, even if wlad won the vast majority of rounds. And to the guys that complain about fight being boring, well what did you expect? It just shows you dont know **** about boxing if you expected anything better than that. It was a much better fight than i anticipated.
Agree. I am surprised it went the distance though. Props to Haye for that. Like Wlad or not, we now have a unfied champion.
It was a good fight but my expectations were low based on these two's previous fights. Haye did what he could but the size and skill difference were too much but he was fast and avoided a lot of Vlad's punches.
haye looked gassed at the end of round 3...he was huffing and puffing on the stool....im sure nerves sucked most of the energy out pretty quick....boring fight...but stayed tuned all 12 rounds because either could have ended it at any point....ok...NEXT
Umm, we already had a unified Champion. :huh His name was Wladimir Klitschko aka WBO/IBF/IBO Heavyweight Champion. Don't you remember the Ibragimov fight?
Yes, Haye did well enough to get another shot at Wlad. I think most boxing fans who are UNbiased will agree with that. Haye didn't win, but he proved he is a legit threat to Wlad. He certainly did well enough for a rematch.
agreed! 100 % healthy haye will beat wlad in my book! I was wondering why david wouldnt throw his right hand straight and not loop it so wlad can block it with his big hands or roll with the punch
I'm not entirely opposed to a rematch, but I don't want one straight away. Haye's got to prove himself by knocking off another good, solid contender (preferably 2) before I'd be sold on watching a rematch.
He's getting it primarily because of all the stuff he said in the years leading up to the fight and all the boasting. If he hadn't continually fired his mouth off with empty boasting, he'd be getting at least some respect as a little guy who held off the monster.
Same as in the Valuev fight, run like a woman and potshot (and fail because he's throwing wide predictable punches that would embarrass a two fight amateur). Wlad tried to make it a fight but Haye refused. He's done, anyone who still respects this ****ing joke doesn't like boxing.
