David Haye doesn't deserve a title fight with Vitali

I'll be disappointed in Vitali if he fights David Haye next.

Haye is coming off a loss where he was more focused more on not being KOed than winning the fight. And he made a silly excuse about a sore little toe after the fight.

I thought Chisora deserved his shot at Vitali, even though I don't like him as a person. He was coming off what should have been a win over top 10 HW Robert Helenius.

To qualify, Haye needs a decent top 10 win on his resume. He should take on someone like Arreola, or the winner of Dimitrenko-Pulev, and if he wins he'll have earned the shot at Vitali.

Interestingly, the EBU has a rule you need to be coming off a win to fight for the European title. It should be the same for a WBC world title shot.

He does, I'd rather have him fight a decent HW than some shitty mandatory.

I thought Bonte was saying Gaye and Chimpsora had to fight for the shot? Assuming Chimpsora did not get himself banned for a long enough time.

Is Vitaly's shoulder going to be an obstacle for an early return?

Both Haye and Mormeck had their chance against a Klitschko, and both their performances were pathetic.

For Haye to be given a title fight against Vitali now, is the equivalent of Mormeck being given a title fight against Vitali now.

Vitali says he'll be ready to fight again in September (before the injury, he had planned on fighting in late June/early July).

Compared with whats been served up lately, both him and Chisora deserve another shot at them.

Like it or not, both Haye and Chirsa put up the best performances against the brothers we have seen for a long while.

It was the best performance against Wlad since at least Peter, if not Saunders, and if we do wish to go down that road, Wlad's lame sleep inducing performance against Haye was pathetic too. The guy barely landed anything meaningful all night and fought like a scared rabbit himself. They were both very much complicit in serving up something which was no great spectacle.

Doesn't deserve it, but he's just as deserving as any of the other pretenders at HW.

    Chisora yes, but not Haye.

Many thought Haye's lack of effort against Wlad and his sore little toe excuse were disgraceful. Boxing writers are still joking about it.

It toe excuse was beyond pathetic, there's no doubt about that. As was his trash talk and false promises.

However, his performance was nowhere near as bad as is made out.

Of course he doesn't deserve it. Hes a cancer to the HW division. He needs to be a liable contender if he wants a title shot. All of his fights in the HW division, bar maybe Barrett fight, have been stinkers. He stunk up the show vs. Valuev, beat a over the hill Ruiz, than had a farce of a title defense vs. Harrison. Simple answer, No.
