Don't tell me this is Haye's big announcement? He said last week or so that he was going to announce something huge in the next 10 days. Then Buncey said on Setanta News that it would be announced on Tuesday but he can't say anything. Haye's also in advanced talks with Golden Boy Promotions.

"Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer, in England for Saturday's Ricky Hatton-Juan Lazcano card, said Manchester's outdoor soccer stadium sold out of the 55,000 tickets it was configured for and that 15,000 more seats had been opened. "We could have 70,000 people there," he said. While Schaefer is in England he said he is continuing to negotiate a promotional contract with cruiserweight champion David Haye, who announced his intention to move to heavyweight last week."

 

I can't believe this is the BIG NEWS Haye was taling about the other day. That his next six fights will be shown on the telly isn't big news, it's bloody obvious!!

 

I had an old account here a while back and haye was on for a while and was a good poster, he gave a shoutout for eastside in a post fight interview i remember it. That may well be him that posted at the start

I can't remember which fight it was but we asked him to give a shout out to ESB after the fight and he did.

If you go through all of Hayes fight's you'll hear him big up the ESB massive in the post fight interview. :yep

 

Great news if its true. During the amatuer boxing Haye said a big annoucement is due soon. Also a mod on the setanta site posted a message (when the Top Rank deal was announced) saying there is more exciting news to come, so I had a slight feeling Haye might sign a deal with Setanta.
