David Haye has been vital to Wladimir Klitschko's legacy

    I can't believe so many people (even the fighters themselves) are talking about a Haye/Klitschko rematch.

    Had it been any other pairing, this wouldn't even be a consideration. Had any other fighter lost that way to WK, people would be up in arms about giving him a rematch.

    But Haye has given Wlad's career something he's never had. A nemesis.

    Ali had Frazier, Leonard had Hearns/Duran, Gatti had Ward. Even Vitali had Lewis.

    Wlad's safety first approach to boxing and lack of decent competiton have given his career a lacklustre impact on the sport.

    Haye was just too small to beat him but still, this rivalry may well give some relevance to Wladimir's legacy.
