David Haye has earned his shot at the championship!

Now that would be interesting. Because at this point in his career Adamek would **** Haye up. So David could give James a shot at some cash and maybe get a win!

On ability / performance there aren't 10 better heavies in the world

 

...but before that he lost to Fury. Even if you discount the Helenius loss, those 2 losses (before Haye faced him) does devalue the win somewhat. It's still a good win and it was delivered in spectacular style - but it does not automatically make Haye the #3 HW out there. Frankly, I'd prefer it if he took on some of the other challengers rather than sit on his hands until Vitali Klitschko maybe/maybe not decides to face him. Why not try to make a fight with Adamek, Fury, Helenius, Povetkin or Arreola (the WBC #1 contender)? Haye is saying the brothers don't take difficult fights, but to make that criticism he himself should be willing to fight for less than the biggest possible payday. As a fan, I'd love to see him fight any of the guys on that list - perhaps more so than Vitali (who I think will still dominate him).

 

In no particular order: Wladimir, Vitali, Adamak, Haye, Arreola, Povetkin, Fury, Chagaev, Pulev, Boytsov.

10 fighters that deserve to be rated ahead of Chisora. Personally, I also rate Eddie Chambers above him in terms of ability, but he has been too inactive (and unlucky) lately to deserve being ranked ahead of him. Helenius should perhaps also be put before Chisora on the list even though Del Boy arguably beat him; Chisora has gone on to loose 2 more fights since then and while he is currently injured, Helenius does have some decent names on his record.

 

I'm not saying Haye is the #3 because he beat Chisora, I'm saying it because (to me) he is obviously the number 3 skillwise, as I maintained before the Chisora fight

I'm also not trying to argue Haye's point of view

The HW champion is Wlad, Vitali is number 1, and Haye is number 2

To me this means, Vitali and Haye should fight

The WBC/WBA/Alphabet rankings mean very little tome

Arreola is ranked number 1, look at his disgraceful opposition to become ranked :-( , it's meaningless

I agree that he should fight someone inbetween his fight with Vitali, but I think he simply doesn't care to be honest, which is sad, because he genuinely is the best HW out there not named Klitschko and if he gave a **** about building a legacy he'd fight someone in the meantime

I would like to see him fight Adamek, who's fight with Toney has fallen through and who is now going to fight some other disgrace

(as for him fighting Arreola, I don't see the point stylistically either, I beleive it would be pretty much a copy of his last fight)

If Helennius had fought Vitali and then Haye after the Chisora fight he too would have another 2 losses on his record

Arreola has fought continental level opposition since his loss against Adamek....Chisora could fight the likes of Nagy Aguilera, Raphael butler etc too, it wouldn't improve his standing as a fighter in my eyes, they would just be 'pointless' wins over nohopers

 

Chagaev is a non-entity, in 2008 he was a live body, but that was a long time ago, be it disease, conditioning, or whatever, but he's done
