I don't know, something about him being the number 1 cruiser at the time may have had something to do with it, although you can never be sure............

I don't think he has earned it yet. I mean he did completely clear out CW but this is a different division and I guess theres a lot of pissed off guys that wished they could come and have a shot that easily. But to be fair, he had already established himself at CW anyway, nobody complains at Light-welterweights going straight for Welterweight championship belts? Anyway, somebody said Haye was ****? I don't think you can dominate an entire division and be called ****? You're obviously a straight hater who has no common sense and very little intelligence.

Well he deserves credit, but he has handpicked everyone so far. Ruiz is another fight against a guy who is tough ,but a guy who he should beat since if he cannot beat Ruiz he will not be able to hang with the tougher fighters later on.

You seem to love eastern Euro fighters. Do you mind me asking where you're from?

Chagaev-Haye would be an interesting one though, I wouldn't put money either way

He cleaned out Cruiserweight, he could have gone straight for the Klits and I wouldn't have bashed him for it. If you're going to bash Haye for being fast tracked, then bash Pacquiao for immediately stepping up to 140 and getting a shot at Hatton and stepping up to welterweight and getting a shot at Cotto.

I have nothing against Haye personally.

But I don't think he has "earned it" yet.

Sure he won a title but in reality. He didn't do any better against Valuev then a 47 years old Holyfield.

So is it anything to write home about?

    You tell me.

Anyone who dominates at crusier, moved up adn wins a heavyeight belt is a great fighter of sorts. But he's got to beat a Klit if he ants to be remembered as a great heavy.

If everybody wants to get all anal about losing belts in the ring, the Wlad shouldn't have the IBF title really, as Lennox Lewis never lost that in the ring.
Nor did Lewis lose the WBA in the ring.

So really, all of those belts should have come up for grabs AFTER Lewis retired.

If Byrd didn't get his hands on it by it being stripped from Lewis, then Wlad wouldn't have got the IBF. So, if you're saying Haye doesn't really have the WBA, the Wlad doesn't really have the IBF. (or the WBO, as Sanders never lost that in the ring, so by all rights, Vitaly should have that one).

    Easy isn't it?

And Wlad won both of his belts from guys who only got them because a previous champ was stripped of them. Read my post above.

So really, Wlad shouldn't have either of his belts.

Its a matter that lewis refused to fight his mandantories and was stripped, Chagaev was there to fight Valuev, Valuev and King is the one who avoided the rematch then used polaticks to get Valuev the belt he refused to fight for.. You are talking apples and oranges and you know that.

Yeah, you're not far wrong. Still, I honestly thought he beat Ruiz and Byrd.

Not sure where Golota's mind ever is to be honest.
