He fought at heavyweight as early as 2004. He says otherwise but he is lying. He's had several HW fights.

How long between fights was it for Chagaev?

We're not talking an active fighter like Lewis that was stripped. We're talking about an inactive fighter that was stripped because of illness and injury.

How many fights did Chagaev pull out of after winning the belts? 2, 3, 4?

Same reason Kostya Tszyu was stripped of the WBC and WBA belts.

Yeah, politics were invovled, but politics were involved in stripping Lewis too, particularly of the WBA belt. He didn't refuse to fight Ruiz at all. He offered to fight him something like 12 weeks after fighting Grant, but King and Ruiz took him to court.

Yes, but he was still fighting as a cruiserweight (off by a couple of pounds, but thats common for fighters when not fighting for titles) against people who were heavyweights.

He was there to fight Valuev and Valuev refused the fight, He was stripped after Valuev avoided the rematch days before teh fight was to take place then went on to fight the # 1 heavy a few days later its one thing to say he was stripped because he was inactive but when they chose to strip him after Valuev pulled out and he had just fought the number one heavyweight in the world so the strippage was deffinately more polaticks then anything,
I was referring to Byrd, Ruiz i think you are right and with king involved im not too surprised by the shadyness of it.

Chagaev beat Valouev and Vlad beat Chagaev, the real WBA champion. Haye signed a contract to fight Vlad, then backed out out of fear. Haye had an implied contract with Vitali, then ran like Hell. Holyfield and Ruiz did much better against Valoeuv than Haye, Haye did nothing but run, threw almost no punches, threw fewer than Johnson. Haye is a coward, he is a fake hero, not a champion, nowhere near it. Vitiali wants to knock Haye out ASAP, but Haye will never fight him as has been proven.

Simple, people dont like him and they dont want to see him succeed. Calzaghe, Hatton, Haye, all intensely disliked by anyone outside Britain, I occasionally wonder whether America really is the most hated country in the world.

He missed Cunnigham but not Adamek. As Haye left Adamek came in, roughly in thesame period. Still you're right. Haye did not entirely clean out CW and has had a free pass at HW. At least Adamek is planning to earn his lumps (Estrada, Arreola) enroute to a title shot. Sooner or later Haye will have to fight stiffer comp, his crappy chin will likely be shattered and he will be posterized.

I had no problem about it, as it is easy to name a couple of challengers that got a chance based literally on nothing. Not that I consider Bonin and Barrett good wins, but if you compare it for example to Briggs and Rahman recent achievements before getting titleshots it looks better.

The problem I had with this fight was that it was about title. After fight against Holy (one may say already after Ruiz) Valuev shouldn't be a titleholder, and while I can't blame Haye for judges mistakes, it is difficult to give him full credit for repeating the same thing ancient Holyfield was able to do a couple months later.

I dont like Haye because he is an ass talks a ton of shitt and doesnt back it up. quite frankly if you are not his nationality there isnt much to like in him, And it gets old having so many people from the UK come on here and inflate his accomplishments so extremely. I dont like B-hop because he is racist and he is american.

Nah, don't worry. We still own the top spot over here in the US. Although you guys may be the #1 contender.
In all seriousness. From an outsiders POV, it seems like there is a lot of hype that surrounds alot of UK fighters. It's not to say they aren't good or even great fighters. But it seems that every fighter that comes out is the being pounded on as THE best, THE greatest, or will beat this one and that one.
Often times, the criticism is the level of competition, or that the accolades don't match the achievements. Take my remarks for what they're worth, I've been critical of some UK fighters, and have praised others......

I particularly admire Hatton, he was always game. Although I hate his style(punch, rush, hold, wrestle) and often find his fights unwatchable, he has balls and losing to the best of his era is nothing to be ashamed of. Took tough fights.

I also admire Froch. Despite being very limited in his ability the SOB is unshakeable in his self belief. He has brass ones. Although I thought Dirrell should have gotten that decision, I don't really care. He did more to lose than to win.

Haye has lots of ability, but his antics with the K bros(although some were tongue in cheek) make me question his sack. Valuev was a nice win, but not the crowning of a HW king. (FFS threads were started asking for his ATG rank.)Ugly fight, but he deserved the W. Would like to see more fights at HW and let him put his money where his mouth is with the K's. Can be a huge international star.

Calzaghe. Terrific fighter. Achieved alot. But lack of meaningful competition over much of his career means, to me, that he can never live up to the accolades heaped on him by his fans. His fault or theirs, I don't care. He fought who he fought. It didn't help at all in my eyes that he beat 2 aged ATG's. Only looks like him playing it safe. But for crying out loud, there are some that legitimately claim he is the GOAT, when most serious fans or boxing historians debate his status as a top 80- 100.

Not at all looking for argument or debate, just wanted to give you my perspective.

Haye is a good fighter, and im interested in seeing how his campaign at heavyweight pans out, but as of right now hes just another heavyweight to me.... i wont consider anyone the champ until they beat Wlad really.... as hes the man in the division to me.

So haye, in my eyes.... is just another heavyweight fighting to see whos the best, i might have him at number 5 in rankings though based off the valuev win and my belief in his head to head capabilities. Nothing more then that though, merely another contender with a trinket.

Id like to see him fight Wlad, Arreola, Adamek, Vitali, Chagaev, Povetkin, Peter, Boytsov or Solis..... as it would do a lot to improve his weight within the division and increase his standing

But obviously, the ONLY fights that truly... truly matters with him is him vs Wlad or Vitali.

FFS STOP STATING THAT ADAMEK WAS SOME SORT OF PROMINENT FIGURE AT CRUISERWEIGHT DURING HAYE'S BRIEF REIGN!!!
I accept that Haye wasn't undisputed because Cunningham held the IBF title, but who the **** was Adamek at the time?
He was a lhw who got beaten by Chad Dawson who had done **** all cruiserweight.
    Here's a timeline for you:
November 2007 - Haye defeats Mormeck & becomes the unified cruserweight champ.
Shortly after he announces that his unification fight against Enzo Mac would be his last at the weight.
March 2008 Haye defeats Enzo Mac, and reasserts his intention to move up to heavyweight.
April 2008 Adamek defeats O'Neil Bell in an IBF eliminator.
November 2008 Haye re-emerges at heavyweight and defeats Barrett.
December 2008 Adamek defeats Cunningham for the IBF cruiserweight title.

So stop spouting all this bollocks about Haye ducking Adamek, because as i've proven above Adamek was hardly a force at the weight when Haye was the champ.

And btw, if Klitchko is apparently the legitimate holder of the WBA belt due to the fact that he pulverised Chagaev who never lost the belt in the ring, then surely Haye was undisputed at Cruiserweight, having defeated Mormeck, who defeated Bell, who never lost the IBF title in the ring.

Incorrect they say that Hye "cleaned out" the CW division.

In fact he beat Mormeck and Enzo

thats hardly cleaning out anything now is it ? Adamek was at least top 5 back then.
