Adamek fought Golota for the money, now Estrada, then Arreola. Adamek will have a better resume than Haye in less time in the division. Adamek's CW accomplishments are equal to Haye's and he did it in a year and a half what took Haye his entire pro career. Don't be mad that Gaye has no testicles.
f i remember correctly Officialy the fight was canceled cuz valuev didnt vaccinate himself agains hepatisis B (wich chagaev has) at the right time,(there was a timeline) lets now ask ourselves why he didnt do that? considering that chagaev has had hepatisis B when they were fighting for the first time aswell?
You're a fool. Adamek was a titlist at lhw. He didn't need to build his way up at cruiser, he bypassed that building stage of the career, because of what he had achieved at the lower weight. A bit like what Haye has done at heavyweight. And for you information Mormeck, Fragomeni, Maccarinelli & Gurov (another one of your boys) is better then Cunningham, Bell, Banks & the mighty Bobby Gunn. If Mormeck was 'shot' as so many have retrospectively claimed, then what was his victim, O'Neil Bell? What the **** has Jonathan Banks done at any weight divison, except get a gift decision against Rossitto (who Haye spanked inside two)? Bobby Gunn. No excuses about multiple withdrawals of opponents. That was laughable. So no, Adamek's resume/achievements at cruiser are not greater than Hayes.
The fact remains that whilst it is disgraceful that Chagaev-Valuev 2 failed to materialise, Chagaev should've been stripped for inactivity, & then installed as mandatory challenger.
:--( Boxing doesnt work like that. And 1 year inactivity is not so unusual, few posts ago i gave an example of guillermo jones who is Dong kings fighter just like valuev.
I do remember that. Though when the first rematch was set to happen, Chagaev backed out of it with an injury/illness. Cause they first fought in march of 07 I believe, and in late 08 they were suppose to have a rematch.
And if Jones has refused to fight his mandatory in this period he should be stripped as well. Why are fans willing to tolerate such long periods of inactivity? I appreciate that combat sports are unique in that injuries are frequent and can be more debilitating than in other sports, but no title should lay dormant at the behest of a single individual. Imagine a hypothetical world where there is only a single belt per division. Would it be acceptable for there to be no heavyweight title fights for over a year, because the champ was injured? That would be ridiculous. If you can't fight at least once a year you don't get to hold onto your belt. That isn't an unreasonable claim. Although as i've said countless times, I sympathise with Chagaev immensely, he doesn't have the right to hold up Valuev's career for a year. And no, interim titles are not the solution, seeing as they are abused with such frequency.
Nah Valuev backed out, It was actually a set up from the beginning king/ saurland won the fight and took it to a country which they knew in advance would raise an issue with Chagaev fighting, Then a few days before the fight Valuev refused to take a shot which would of made the fight happen... In germany or most other countries the shot is not even required.
Exactly Bell was stripped not mormec it is a lot different then in chagaev's case when he still had the belt when he fought wlad, apples and oranges, The point of the matter is Haye had one significant fight at Cruiserweight and then bailed and even that Mormeck was 36 and shott he proceeded to retire after the fight. Im not going to award a fighter the title if he lost the fight when he actually challenged for the belt. Adamack was a former champiion from the weight down and was making noise at cruiser and again the point was he never cleaned out the division as even you admit then you make excuses to justify it, He never even tried to clean out the division, which is the whole point of this convo.. You dont think adameck was a factor in the division i think he was :deal the point still stands haye was never undisputed and sure as hell never cleaned out the division.
Haye did not have 'one significant fight' at the weight. He beat Alexander Gurov for the EBU title. He beat future champ Fragomeni in a WBC eliminator/EBU defence. He beat the unifed WBC/WBA champ Mormeck in his own back yard. Mormeck may have been old, but he wasn't shot. Where is the evidence to prove this? In his previous fight he regained his titles in beating O'Neil Bell. Haye then went onto pulverise Enzo Mac in a unification fight, a win which has since lost it's value due to Enzo Mac's subsequent failures. HOWEVER ALL OF YOUR POSTS INDICATE BIASED REVISIONISM. Here at ESB we have a wonderful 'search' function. Why don't you bump the threads from around Haye's cruiser reign, which are urging him to fight Adamek? You can't because they don't exist. Adamek wasn't a significant figure at the time. Only you seem to believe he was. And for your information Mormeck hasn't retired. He fought not even two months ago - at heavyweight. Is Adamek ducking Mormeck? Or is Mormeck not a significant figure at the weight, a former champ at a lower weight division coming of a recent loss? Just as Adamek was a lhw coming of a loss, when Haye was the man at Cruiserweight. And posting these :deal emoticons doesn't prove your point. Haye didn't clean cruiserweight out. He didn't fight at the divison long enough to do so. But he was certainly the number one fighter for a brief period, and unfortunately outgrew the division. If he had defeated Adamek at the time, it would've been inconsequential, becuase as i've said countless times, Adamek wasn't relevant. Why do you think Adamek was a significant figure? I've gone to great lengths to prove he wasn't by providing evidence. You seem to be going on nothing else but your misguided bias.
absolutely not. he hasn't done ****. he got lucky enough to fight one of the worst champs in history in his second hw fight. he will have earned it once he beats some solid hw fighters. i think adamek's gonna **** him up if he gets the chance.
