Hearn will find a decent replacement as he won't want to lose his PPV £. I wouldn't be surprised if he's already got someone lined up. This news isn't exactly unexpected.
If he can't even hold himself together for one single training camp he just needs to retire, for the good of the sport, and all the fighters he keeps jerking around.
He does WBF Champion James "Lightsout" Toney who landed in the UK today , set to face Pomphrey this weekend in Bristol ! Lightsout for Bellew !
It's too bad that when David Deron Haye was dipped to the river Styx, the achilles heel wasn't the only part he was held from.
Hopefully they give Parker a fair offer and he takes it. Parker ought to win despite the late notice but it is a good fight. It would also be a great way to build his profile in the UK by headlining a huge card, UK fans have a very high view of Bellew in general so any win would be a positive.
One of the two heavyweights fights I was looking forward to next month. I thought after hearing the first injury rumour that this was sure to happen again. Was really wanting a strong Haye to add to the current heavyweights.
Surely they aren't throwing this PPV event away and just going to re-schedule it? They gotta get someone in!
Trouble is Hearn knows that Parker likely beats Bellew, which would scupper his chances of the Haye fight down the line. But he might just decide not to risk it considering how injury prone Haye is and focus on raising Parker's profile with the UK public for the Joshua superfight next year. I hope so at least.
