This is a bit generalistic, but I sort of agree. There's long been a theory, in psychology, that people tend to support the athletes and teams that reflect themselves. As in, some people get REALLY upset when Floyd Mayweather says something . And others just ignore it, or even find it entertaining. The reason is, some people went to school with people like Floyd and Haye, and didn't particularly enjoy how they behaved. And other people went to school with people like Floyd and Haye, and were buddies with guys like that, so don't take it seriously.
The fact that you care more about what he says, than what he does, shows you're very much a Klitshko fan first, and a boxing fan second.
All this stuff about Wlad trying to make a Valuev fight, is just ridiculous. Why didn't it happen? For the same reason Wlad hasn't fought loads of people. And very nearly didn't fight Haye Him being completely unwilling to negotiate at all on TV deals, as he'd rather take gauaranteed annual payments from German TV companies, than bother with the biggest fights You know, if you're not making a fight over a TV deal, then you're just as good as ducking
Truth is, if Haye hadn't have come along, Wlad would be being mocked right now in the media. Just like he was before Haye came along. Haye has given fans, pundits, the media, a reason to back Wlad's fights, and his career.
You're clueless. Why repeat your personal opinion when you haven't spent time checking the facts. It's all in the google archives. Just takes a little bit of time and reading comprehension.
It's been reported as truth by the British media for so long that unfortunately most people believe that Valuev was being avoided.
I don't like Haye because he seems like a world class dip****. Telling reporters to **** off, acting like some junior high punk, showing no respect to Wladimir Klitschko of all people, the list goes on. I mean what has Wladimir done to warrant this cocksucker Haye acting like a complete D-bag towards him and disrespecting him every chance he gets? Wladimir has done a lot for charity, doesn't disrespect anyone, carries himself well, great ambassador for the sport, great fighter ...why the attitude towards him?? It's all good though because I have a strong feeling we won't be seeing much more of Haye after the 2nd. I'm expecting a highlight reel type power shot that puts him away. Then he can go back to working for Abercrombie and Fitch or trying to land a part in some generic action flicks.
I really don't understand why so many people 'hate' David Haye. He comes across as an intelligent individual who seems 'confident' but not 'arrogant'. Yes, some people might say he is over the top in 'hyping' up a fight (especially a 'superfight') but it is all in the intention of generating as much general interest as possible. It is purely a strategic way of business for Haye to catch the public's attention. Even so, after each and every fight, he always acknowledges and respects his opponents and it will be no different with Wladimir after the fight. They will both hug and pay respect to each other for making the fight happen. On the other hand, I can entirely understand why some people hate a boxer like James Degale. Sure, Degale and Haye are both confident fighters and both can 'talk up' a fight - but the main difference is while Haye respects an opponent after a fight Degale shows no respect whatsoever. Whatever others might think, Haye is an established champion but he still acknowledges his opponents while Degale only has a gold medal to his name and acts like he is already the undisputed champ! After all, David Haye puts on a 'show' for the cameras but James Degale really comes across as an arrogant bully who refuses to accept defeat....
Haye is a wind up merchant, he grew up doing that. That's who he is. People say it's an act, it's not at all.
