When Haye took his shoe off straight after the fight i cringed - it was embarrassing, the little pinky toe didn't even look that bad - see 2:30 minutes into the video below - certainly not bad enough to effect the performance of a true Champion - Danny Williams and even Fraudly have won fights with much worse, as have many others. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZC9BAawh4aY[/ame] Then less than 2 days later Haye appears on a UK television programme and shows the toe again - this time it looks much worse - 1:30 minutes in - below [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KwfUILOLjYA[/ame] Its gone yellow and looks really tender and sore - to the point where it looks like it there is a chance it might actually effect the performance of a fighter. Haye says its gone yellow because a fracture blister has developed - it is possible for them to develop 3 weeks after the injury but generally the injury looks much more significant and painfully than it did before. Haye goes on to say his foot may have got stamped on during his ring-walk, which made it worse - he had trained previously with the toe and had no problems - here is the ring-walk, watch closely. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgIgPKIb_jc[/ame] If you look about 1 minute into the video Haye is begining to get pushed around, he stops singing looks pissed off and seems to be treading carefully and watching his step. Various people jump in front of him and they get pushed away but Haye seems okay, pissed off but okay, he starts singing again and carries on. Then 1:41 minutes in he winces in pain and looks down at his foot - did that big lump next to him just stand on his foot? - maybe. Let me be clear i don't think Haye lost because of the toe (Wlad was just too good and Haye couldn't or wouldn't get close) and i even think that if his toe was re-injured or more injured during the ringwalk then it is poetic justice for making everyone (including Lennox) wait while he played his pointless and classless "mind games", but what i am saying is that maybe the toe did effect Haye performance and his ability to "spring off" as he said, at least more than it first appeared and that maybe it was a significant injury. Having watched what do you think?
Haye wasn't looking down in pain. It looked to me as if he might have stepped into a puddle, which he said that he did. Either way, he had those booties on his feet. Just as Haye lied in a live interview saying that his those booties fell off as he walked to the ring because of stepping in puddles and being trampled on.... yet, we clearly saw his booties being taken off when he got up onto the ring apron. Also, the big guy isn't standing on his feet. That is part of his security AND he is on David's LEFT SIDE. It was David's right pinky toe that was hurt. No way that guy stepped on Haye's right pinky toe while standing to his left. That big guy is actually a glass jawed joke of an MMA fighter named James Thompson. It's nothing but excuses. If a fighter can't even make it to the ring without being KO'd out of a fight, then he is hopeless anyways. It was his own fans jumping around acting ******ed. I didn't see Haye in any real danger other than being crowded.
Well i think he winces in pain and then immediately hobbles a bit and he does seem to be missing a "bootie" when he step up onto the ring? - only one is taken off him if you watch closely. Its hard to tell which side of Haye the lump is standing right or left but it certainly looks possible that his toe could have been made significantly worse during that ring-walk at some point even if it wasn't exactly at that second. i agree its an excuse - its just maybe its a better excuse than it first seemed
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZC9BAawh4aY&feature=player_embedded[/ame] Vitali: " All belts, all belts in the Heweeweight!" He cracks me up! Wouldn't be so funny if I tried to speak any of his languages though...
You got it wrong the security guy is definitely standing on Haye's right - look at the England shirt Haye is wearing - the England badge is on the right of his chest on the new shirt.
Don´t you know that Haye has a long history of making those excuses? broke his hand against Valuev, therefore he couldn´t perform well.. got cut in sparring therefore couldn´t perform well against Ruiz.. bet on rd 3 against Harrision therefore he couldn´t turn it up earlier.. pinky toe against Wlad therefore... oh and at cruiser he was weight drained therefore he genericly had no chin, stamina, workrate etc.. yet he comes in at 210lbs at heavy.. Seriously when has Haye ever been healthy and performed at his best? well yeah never
Wow, you are seriously ****ing ******ed.:rofl You really don't know right from left? I haven't seen this kind of **** since pre-school. James Thompson is on Haye's LEFT SIDE!
i wont comment on the article but you can clearly see them lacing his boot at the start of the ring walk so he wasnt just being a **** in the dressing room
BTW, You do realize that Haye said it wasn't even a pain issue right? That he simply had "nothing there" when he went to push off and explode into his punches? As if his injured Pinky toe completely shut down his right leg.:rofl I can't believe you buy intot his ****. Then again, you don't even know right from left so I guess it isn't that surprising.
I can believe that Haye had a toe injury and also got a pain injection for the toe injury. That much is understandable. However, a pinky toe injury isn't going to do anything to a boxer other than make it a little uncomfortable. Haye never said that the toe was a pain issue anyways... because he knows that is silly. What he said was even more silly... that the toe injury caused his entire right foot and leg to shut down and "nothing was there" when he went to push off of it. Yet, somehow he was able to run around and dance all night long without any problems at all.
Here is a link to the new England shirt design (the one Haye is wearing) http://euro2012shirts.org.uk/england/ what side does it say the badge is on?..........lol
Did you watch the first video that i posted - Haye's post fight interview - what does he say at the 4 minute 11 mark? - "My foot is in absolute agony"
