**** it, he has every right to look after himself however he sees fit. Wasn't ever his biggest fan especially wit some of his antics, but its up to him to decide when enough is enough. The guy stepped inside the ring and fought for and won world titles, and for that he should be at least acknowledged and his decision respected.

tbh,retire after fighting vitali and or adamek/arreola.

owes the fans he let down and robbed a make up fight,a free to air fight,and a last good performance.

he was good,but could have/still could be/done better.

an outsider to watch him train,tweak his faults and improve him would have been good,like roach.

he could carried on fighting top 10 opponents in Ameirca for a good few years,on a regular basis,beating them all and putting on exciting heavyweight fights with or without ever rematching/fighting a klit ,or even losing to both.

an active haye vs top/."top" 10 heavies being entertaining is better than klits boring our eyes to sleep and being no 1 and no2 but never fighting to sort out the best fighter in the division.

 

If Willie Pep, Sugar Ray Robinson and a whole host of the "old timers" were fighting today then they, likewise, would have had very few fights compared to the guys of the 30s/40s/50s.

There is more medical awareness today and with that comes medical restrictions; Fewer fighters are now registered meaning less oppotunity to fight as regular and there is less interest in attending boxing from the general public.

Haye also has wealth beyond the imagination of most of us and, boxing wise, achieved almost everything that he wanted to but all that he realistically could. Good luck to him.

 

He's definitely is in his prime now, but it's his call. He do what the hell he likes, it's his life he is risking in the ring none of us can chat sh*t about it. Achieved all the ambitions he set out to do, won titles in the 2 highest weight divisions and made a lot money. So he should be respected for that. Yeah he made some bad comments for sure.

If I can achieve just 10% of what he has I would be a happy man.

 

27 fights mostly as a cruiserweight. 1 title defense at that weight. Awful heavyweight.

Yes he did. He fought on an ESPN Friday Nights Fight card.

And being one of the best Cruiserweights in history and winning a significant World title at heavyweight against a previously unbeaten fighter to whom he gave away a massive amount of height and weight is hardly a joke career.

If you hate Haye be honest, but don't let that dislike over-shadow the truth.
