I'd say Haye is much cleverer than Toney. Toney comes across as a buffoon. Haye's got wit.

The "him and his sister Vitalia" line from Toney was pretty good though.

I'm enjoying this. It should be a good fight! :!:

He is kidding, and it is to sell tickets (but if he can get under Wlad's skin he may think it will help a little).

Of course these guys respect each other - it would be suicide otherwise.

Haye is making this fight entertaining and showing he's not afraid or intimidated by Wlad like all of his other oppenents were. Too many of Wlad's opponents were intimidated and didn't choose to try and intimidate him. They were easy KO's for Wlad but this will be a tough fight where his opponent will fight back and make it entertaining.

I don't know why people are getting upset. Haye is trash talking to sell the fight and get under Wlad's skin. Any fight involving Wlad needs selling.
Anyway, when the fight is over, regardless who wins, it'll all be hugs, kisses and blowing smoke up each others asses....as usual.

Wlad fan, an i have no problem with hayes, an his gay little comments he makes, an pictures, nothing wrong with creativity, this fight does got some nice Hype on it, even know wlad going to own hayes in the fight,,,This is a boxing match, not a tennis match,,,People want this build up, an i think wlad nice side also brings somthing to the table, a guy who likes having charity events to rasie money in africa so some village can eat, an have homes, this is Good vs not so much evil, but aganist a guy who lacks the class not to walk into a charity events that raises money for starving africans,,,,,,,Class vs No Class

An on another note, did not like those photo shot of the bros, thought it was a little over the top

Its all blather once the bell rings.

Frankly I find it amazing that fighters think this crap works any more.
The problem is trash talking has become so common place it doesn't have the impact it once had.

In Ali's day it was shocking and inappropriate. It had serious media marketing value. Today... the shock value is nonexistent.

Toney is a prime example. He does it so much that its like watching a mildly amusing stand up routine.

Hopkins found the new taboo, playing the race card. That still has some legs in this media saturated world today. Haye needs to go on that bent. Its right up his alley.

If he were to let his fists do the talking then the fight would have not had half the build up of discussion on this board.

I think Haye has too much class to go there (he didn't respond when Wlad mentioned it).

we should all just be glad a heavywght fight is getting some damn press. i hope haye gets more verbal jabs at wlad. and more and more ppv buys will happen. i am tired of boxing getting overshadowed by mma. let haye sell, let some new fans buy.

This shite is the biggest heavyweight fight since Holyfield-Tyson I. We need this excitement back in the heavies. I am so glad Haye can spark things up a bit. The press conference looks to be a dandy. They are doing an excellent job hyping the fight. The revenues for this thing should be huge.

I can't help but feel this fight would be a lot more exciting and would have really put boxing back on the map if haye had actually made a name for himself as a heavy. A year down the line after another 3 highlight reel knockouts would have made haye into a credible contender and this into a genuine superfight. Its got so much interest because haye has done an absolutely brilliant job of promoting it with all his antics, like em or hate em. If his defence was as watertight as his promotional skills he could be the next big star.
