I can't wait for Haye vs. Vitali.

I've got $50 that says Haye loses control of his bowels while unconscious on the canvas.

    Any takers?

If he fights Rahman here in the states, I will definitely be going. If it's in England I will have to pass... this time.

Look at all the butt hurt Haye-ters in here

David Haye still bring more excitement than any other fighter in the division.

Who else is there for Vitali to fight that anyone would give a crap about? No one.

Like him or hate him, Haye has speed and power in the division, and he'll make for a more exciting fight than getting his ass kicked for 10 rounds like Adamek.

He's fighting Vitali or retiring. Haye only cares about money and if you think he'd face Adamek, you have another thing coming. Haye's plan all along was if he beat Wlad to run off in the sunset with the belts. He has no intention and never did of being a real champion.

    He would pulvarize Adamek.

But none of this would matter if Vitali asn't so death scared of Haye. He should grow a pair and fight him. :deal

He had the chance to fight Thomasz, he chose Audley instead. He admitted he used trashtalk to fastrack himself up the ranks and admitted he dodged most of the hard fights.

His plan all along was taking a gamble. The fact people bought into it, especially if they arn't Brits, is laughable.

Its quite interesting that he admits Adam Booth is on the fence as to whether he is capable of beating Vitali or not. Could we possibly see a change of trainer if Haye fights on??

A lot of good posts in this thread.:good

Before the Wlad fight, i had 0 respect for Haye. After the fight I had less, but after rewatching it several times, I saw some things that made me believe that Haye is more than just talk.
Sure he's only the 4th best HW in the world, but that is only because of his size, not his skills or his chin.
He beats every HW in the last 30 yrs except Holmes, Tyson, younger Holyfield(34 or younger),Lewis, Vitali, Sanders, Wlad, and Helenius.
I'd take Haye over even Foreman(38-47), Moorer, Bowe, Peter, Toney, Brewster, and yes, even prime Byrd. Those would be the only guys who would trouble him in the least.
That said........Helenius is the next unified HW champion, and he's got good mgmt, and probably won't even fight for the WBA kiddie title until after the K2 are retired. Smart team, and he will probably end up with more than 1/2 dozen former titlists on his resume when he retires undefeated and undisputed.
But w/o a K2 vs Helenius fight, we only have 1 other guy who can realistically give the K2 any threat at all, and that's David Haye.

There's plenty of great HW's right now, but the K2 are just so damned good, and so damned big, that we're really just watching them fight for the sake of entertainment, and if your'e not a fan of their styles, you're not going to get a nickels worth of entertainment from either K2.

Fortunately David Haye is sticking aruond. Even if it is ONLY for another fat check. I don't think he can get more than 40% for the Vitali fight, but still, that's a figure of about 3 mil or better, and that might just be enough to get this fight on. Hopefully anyways.

While it's obvious that Im a K2 fan, I do hope Vitali gives David this fight, and gives him some options and that 40%. I'd really like to see David fight on after Vitali, b/c let's face it, Wlad is 35, and has only about 4-5 yrs left. By that time, Vitali will be gone, Wlad will be undisputed and Haye will only be 35.

Even if Haye gets KOd by Vitali, then UD'd or KOd by Wlad, in the next 12 months, he could go on and beat Arreola, Rahman, Austin, Fury, Dimitrenko, Chambers, Thompson, Mormeck, Tarver, or any other named HW not named K2 or Helenius.
He could p/u the WBA kiddie title from Potvetkin or Arreola, or whoever's holding it by that time, and he could defend it so long as Helenius don't want it.

Like I said, he's the 4th best HW RIGHT now, @30 y/o, in 2 yrs he'll be the #3 HW in the world, and in 5, he could be the #2 in the world and we could see him p/u another legit title and defend it for several years just as long as he never fights Helenius.

It's up to Haye I think. His current technique relies heavily on athleticism, head movement etc. Haye is only 31, his time is now. If Haye worked hard on his game (eg develop an inside game, maybe a southpaw approach to confuse oppos etc.) then he could potentially embarrass Helenius if they were to meet 3-4 years from now.

I thought the fight with Wladimir was competititve and the result was still up in the air through Round 7. Contrast this with the Adamek or Chambers fights where it was practically over midway through Round 2. Even up to Round 12 Haye still had a chance, and sure enough Wlad got hurt and played defense through much of that round. So while Wlad or Vitali would justifiably be heavy favorites, Haye has the best chance of upsetting the cart.

But on the other hand I think Haye is sincere that he's tired of boxing and thinks he could find fame and fortune elsewhere. Disappointing but he might be right.

Either way, Haye needs to rehabilitate his image and for that he needs a few more fights.
