David Haye: I'm not ready for an old-timer like Klitschko

    Vitali Klitschko offered paper titlist David Haye the offer of his life, a 50-50 deal with no options, something David doesn't really deserve based on his recognition and drawing power compared to the Klitschkos. The brothers who beat the WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF champions, sold more than 100.000 tickets this year and their fights were picked up in more than 100 countries, with German RTL paying the biggest fee of any network. Haye's respons however is pure disappointment for the fans and full of contradictions.

    "I’m not worrying about old-timers like Briggs. He’s years past his best. I’m sharper than ever, and I’ll get to the Klitschkos when I’m ready. For now, I’m focused on sending Audley Harrison down a one way street with no return."

    Where to start? He calls Briggs an old-timer, when in fact he's facing an even OLDER Audley Harrison who's coming off a lucky punch comeback victory over C-level journeyman Michael Sprott, the same guy who already knocked Audley the **** out. This is the same Harrison who never even had a prime at the pros and the guy Haye said will never face because he's garbage.

    In case Haye never realized: Vitali is actually OLDER than both Shannon and Harrison, and turning 40 in a couple of months, yet Haye, 'sharper than ever' flat out states he's not ready for the Klitschkos just yet. I wonder if he's actually waiting the bros to decline to his level, which might take a couple of more years.

    Haye knocks everybody out in the ordinary British fan's fictional universe. He is too fast and punches too hard. He doesn't actually have to fight them in reality.

    I dnt think Haye will ever be ready for the Klits and lastnyts total domination of Shannon couldn't have helped him grow a pair either

    Of course this "when I'm ready" comment proves he didn't have a back injury, but rather the "back-out before black-out" mentality.

    He had a I-want-to-get-paid injury.

    In fairness no one can blame him for not wanting to get demolished by Wlad and not be paid for the privilege. That's a reasonable duck.

    However, since, it is truly pathetic.

    imma be honest...haye may have a chance with wlad...but with K1 he absolutely has zero chance...he would get dominated every round...K1 impressed me with his hand speed and accuracy especially for someone who is gonna be 40 yrs old...it seemed like everytime shannon tried to give him an angle there was either a short uppercut followed by a sneaky left hook and then that pole of a jab behind it...its very hard to hit k1 as well his defense over the years has been impressive...

    It's obvious what Haye's doing with Vitali. He's trying to catch him at the right time. If it was up to him, he wouldn't step in the ring with him for another year!

    I don't know why this keeps being discussed when its so obvious what's going on.

    Hays was gifted the title in hopes he would prove more marketable than Valuev. Anyone who watched the fight and isn't a Brit or delusional would have to admit Valuev out scored Haye 11 of 12 rounds, at a minimum.

    Now he's milking every possible excuse and payday out of that belt possible. If for some reason he loses the title (inevitable considering his skill level) he will pull a mayweather and say hrs beyond fighting for titles and legacy.

    Everyone, Haye included, knows Vitali is too big, quick, awkward and tough for Haye.

    Wlad is too skilled technically, and better in every aspect too Haye.

    Of course he doesn't want those fights.

    At this point I would rather see Carl Thompson come out of retirement and face Vitali than this Haye farce.

    38 year old Audley Harrison- recent loss to 10-0 martin rogan who was 38. beat 3 guys on prize fighter in one night.... 1 guy was 8-0, 1 guy was 6-0 , 1 guy was 12-

    Haye is human scum. A despicable liar. He's probably laughing his ass off when his dumb Brit fans pay the 14.95 PPV for the **** fights he's feeding them.
