    Face it:

What exactly did he do in the heavyweightdivision?
    1. Knocked out a Polish c-classfighter named Bonin, who already was knocked out by Fraudley A-farce Harrison and knocked him out.
    2. Fought a over the hill Monte Barett who's biggest careerwins victories over Tye Fields, Owen 'What the Heck" Beck and Domiick Guinn are. He lost more than a year before that fight against "Twin Tyson" Cousler.
    3. Than he 'earned' a titleshot against the very limited Valuev, who already was rocked by Ruslan Chagaev, and had lost to Boring Ruiz and a Holyfield who should have stopped 5 years before that fight, but for beeing in Germany ....they never got the wins. He had to bring it to the scorecards to win this one.
    4. Title defence against Ruiz... who is boring as we know, 37 years at that moment he stepped in to the ring with Haye and who already had lost 8 times.
    5. No he can handpick a opponent he chooses..... Fraudley Harrison. We are talking about Harrison here, people... What did Harrsiosn to get a titlefight? Harrison should be a guy to face when he stepped over from Cruiser to Heavy, not as a titlefight...
    6. He was stirring things up when he stepped up in weightclass. Haye was seeking confrontations with both Kitschko's. But now that he has a belt, he is ducking them (thanks to Wlad Klitschko for using that sentence) and shows his big words are meaningless.

To make it simple: Haye was chicken in the past, he is chicken now and he will be chicken in the future.

One conclusion can be made: Haye is a joke on heavylevel so far.

If Haye hadn't set us up for such huge expectations and excitement then I wouldn't say he's a joke. Then I'd just say he's a young and talented Heavyweight who is very careful and risk-averse while planning his career. Nothing wrong with that.

But if you take into account all the *BULL***** he has been yapping over the last 2.5 years:

    - "I am doing this for Ali, Dempsey and Louis"
    - "I will knock out both Klitschkos in 2010"
    - "Fighting Wlad will be my easiest fight ever"
    - "The Klitschkos only fight over-the-hill nobodies, I don't handpick my opponents"
    etc. etc.

then one has to completely agree: Haye is a joke, and a very very sick one at that. Apparently the joke is on us, the loyal boxing fans.

    1. The Bonin fight was to test the waters.

    2. The Barrett fight was his first in his new, permanent division. Barrett has since gone on to draw with Tua, which is a good result for him.

    3. Valuev was world champion and the best choice after both Klitschko fights fell through. Everyone thought Haye won easily, despite the broken hand. The only person to cone close to what Haye did was Chagaev. Neither Ruiz or Holyfield won the fight on most cards

    4. Ruiz was mandatory and hadn't been beaten like that, since Tua caught him cold. Not a great opponent but Haye was dominant.

    5. The Harrison bout is poor.

I understand people being frustrated but have some sense. He isn't doing that bad, it's just that the Klitschko fight hasn't happened but both sides are confdeny they can make it happen.

Okay... so he will be fighting ranked 500 fighters in the future???

He should fight the best in the division if he wants to make a legacy and backup his words.

Besides not fighting either Klitschko he's done what's to be expected, except this fight with Harrison. He should have tried to make a fight against someone like adamek, Chagaev or tony thompson.

Haye is clearly a joke when compared to his own boasts and unfulfilled promises. Although I believe he will fight a Klit next year.

If you want to talk purely about his competition I don't think he's taken on guys much worse than Wlad and Vitali's recent opponents.

There's no question his best win at HW is against an old Ruiz, so take that any way you want. Another thing that hasn't been mentioned yet is Haye's **** poor activity level (3 HW fights since 2008 ). This surely has to count against him.

How come when a guy moves up from Jr. Welterweight to Welterweight or from Junior Middleweight to Middleweight we give them credit for what they accomplish at the lower weight but when someone moves from Light Heavyweight to Heavyweight or from Cruiserweight to Heavyweight we want to ignore thier lower weight accomplishment.

Mostly because it's such a huge jump. 7lbs. from WW to LMW compared to 25 lbs. from LHW to CW and 0-100 lbs. from CW to HW.
Before the weight classes fragmented it was a much bigger deal to move from WW to MW.

If a guy from a lower class say Jr. Welterweight (140) to Welter (147) if a Jr. Welterweight goes straight to a title shot its okay but Haye gets his shot after one fight and it is he didn't deserve it. It appears the criticism is more for who it is then the jump.
