David Haye is a personal favourite mine, just like Gerald McClellan, Sonny Liston, Spencer Oliver and Darren Corbett etc. We all have our favourites.

They just catch my eye, entertain me, and I see little bits of myself in them. For one thing, they are all certainly exciting, refreshing, and fun to watch. Many people are posting rediculous comments about Haye, ones that are simply FALSE, not even an opinion, just flat out lies.

For example: David Haye is boring!!!!!!!!

Ok, first of all, he was 22-1(21KOs) before tonight, he's now 23-1(21KOs). Almost all of those KOs came in the first five rounds.

Now, here are some of his fights. Lets look at these objectively and pretend we don't know who David Haye is, you're just channel surfing and he's just a random boxer, what do you think?

Sit back, relax, turn the light off, focus, and really tell me what you think of his skill, power, ferocity, excitment, and technical ability, from a neutral point of view.

And none of this "OH HIS OPPONENT WAS A BUM!!" ballix. Do you guys forget that this fight was only Davids 24th proffessional bout? He's already unified the cruiser division and rightfully stripped Valuev for the Heavyweight title, not bad.

Too many of you Yanks and Brits think with your hearts before your minds, your petty little competition between each other undermines the sport of boxing and what guys like David Haye, or Andre Dirrell can bring.

Now, onto to his loss, have you actually seen it?

his eleventh fight, a mistake he has learned from, its not like he was outclassed or exposed, or knocked out flat, he was dominating, got tired, and was stopped. He was actually waving Thompson in when his corner chucked the towel, that's called heart.

Haye is one to watch, and he IS the most exciting boxer around.

Either way, he is FAR from boring.

If you have not seen these fights, watch before commenting, and watch OBJECTIVELY AND WITHOUT BIAS please.

I truly believe he is very concerned about his chin.

  4. Big fan of Haye. Didn't see his latest but I suspect that it would be boring.

I wouldn't put that in the way of Haye though, he's a top exciting fighter with a good fighting history. I was surprised when he started getting big around here and everyone hated him. Looking at his fights it's paradoxical really...

His fight against Valuev was really boring, specially when he was fighting such a limited opponent. I really expected more from him.

But most of the time Haye has entertained him, so calling him boring after just one fight is not right.

Haye-Valuev wasn't too exciting but I agree people are going a bit overboard to call him boring after this one fight. He's produced plenty of exciting fights.

he has got a cautious streak in him.

    no doubts about that.

he likes an opponent to take chances before he fires.

and cos he hits so hard he generally gets rid when he connects. :dead

    he certainly isn't boring.

Then doesn't that mean that Haye is more limited? :D

Maybe he was too nervous or something. I really feel that he could do have done more.
