Yes, after nearly knocking him out. Let's not forget that Haye was in his 11th fight and green as a Witter's envy towards Fatton.

Zuri's an odd one, someone like Guinn blew him out but against Brock and McCline (and now Rahman) he was giving them big problems. All because he's a pretty busy, hard-working fighter and won't slack off in there. There's a lot to be said for a simple work ethic...

This is a surprising fight to me if it happens. Rahman still carries a top 5 rating with the WBC at the moment, and bear in mind he is still a 2-time HW champion. If Haye punches him out, that's putting Haye right up there in line for a title shot and that might be risking too much too soon.

Hayes doesn't have the chin to mess with heavyweights.Trust me the Rock will knock him out.

I may be Haye's biggest fan but I will be betting on Rahman here. David has bigger balls than a roided up bull in taking a Rahman fight, but he is just not the fighter who instils confidence in you. He has a leaky defence and a shaky chin, Rahman has a good jab and hard right hand. ****.

I just wonder if Macca was in Haye's shoes though, moving up to heavyweight...

He would not be fighting Rahman, not a ****ing chance, he would have about three tune ups against top 100 guys, before a 'HUGE' domestic showdown with someone like Harrison or Sprott. Maloney and Haye have ten times more guts than Macca and Warren, you really have to hand it to them.

Great match up, this will def put Haye in the title picture, if he wins. Rahman is kind of a 'name' in a division that nobody knows anything about anymore. I think the heavyweight division needs a guy like Haye, big puncher, personality, obviously not scared to take risks and a bit vunreble! Kind of like a Cruiser/Heavy Nigel Benn.

I have faith in Davids ability to beat a faded Rock, 6th round KO maybe.

This is a very good fight, he is a good name who is well passed his best, who has limited boxing skills and speed.

Haye needs to look for the winging over hand right that he throws, as that is his best punch.

Perfect introduction to big heavies with good jabs and right hands for Haye. Haye's coming into his prime years and won't get anything out of another one-round blowout against a Bonin type opponent.

Haye's got the speed, power and skills to totally annihilate Rahman, who come on guys, is not even the fighter who faced David Tua a few years back, let alone the guy who knocked out Lewis, and remember, Lewis was beating him up in that fight until his conditioning let him down and he left himself open to that right hand.

I think at heavy, Haye's punch resistance will be better than at cruiser and it's only against the really big guys like Klitschko that he could be found wanting.

But what the big guys will find hard to cope with is Haye's speed of punch. I mean he looked like a heavyweight against Bonin and how he actually got down to cruiser is beyond me. Must have really taken some doing because there's not an ounce of fat on the guy the month before the fight and he still had a stone to lose.

im so glad haye has moved up now, i wouldv liked the enzo fight, but haye has gone up in my estimations, he offers enzo an unrefusable deal, when enzo declines he goes for a ex champ who is still a good fighter.

haye's chin is being questioned but, he was up and fought on, his chin could be questioned if he just stayed on the floor. if he moves up and that is his natural weight at heavy then like he said maybe just maybe his chin will be better , he drained himself to get down and that is not good for his body.

i really hope he can become world champion now, he could have gone on doin a fraudley but in only his second fight at heavy i think he has done more than fraudley.

Haye has loads of heart he's just what the heavyweight division needs. I'm well behind the guy now he talks the talk and now is walking the walk. Lets hope he prepares in an intelligent way.

David has to go into this fight prepared for 12 rounds. If his not his going to get KO`ed. This fight is VERY realistic one that Haye CAN win.Rahman is slow lazy and very ponderous these days. His weight fluctuates more than a whores draws and he doesnt have the drive nor championship desire to be anything bigger than a world class journeyman. if Haye can stay on his toes and employ the jab correctly whilst keeping his left up this is a fight that he can cruise to an easy UD.

People are way too concerned about Hayes low left. The guy employs shoulder roll, if he does so properly then the shoulder will block incoming shots. There will be some people who can sneak right hands in. If they can do it consistently then he just needs to have more to his game i.e. glove blocking, arm blocking, head movement etc

In saying this though, us Brits know first hand how dangerous a Hasim Rahman right hand is!!!
