Correct. The guy is a blown out shell after Wlad, just like many fighters with good records after they face a Klitschko.

Normally this poster posts crap but once in a while he posts something completely intelligent and utterly insightful that you'd swear he's the offspring of Einstein and this is one such post.

Styles make fights people. Lacy had a sick KO % & destroyed Reid. Calzaghe squeked by Reid but decimated Lacy & at the end of the day Wlad's style always beats Hayes'

But let us remember that Chagaev will have months to prepare and get himself in better shape for Haye, assuming he gets the Haye fight.

Maybe Chag will see the extreme need to improve his conditioning, and will do it, for Haye's titleshot. Let's not count him out, yet.

Haye isn't gonna fight Chagaev, so the statement is completely pointless

Lennox was what, 5lbs over his normal weight? On his frame which is MUCH larger than Chagaev's, that's not much. Sure, Lennox was not in the best shape, but he wasn't in bad shape either. It's interesting to see that as the months and years go by, Lennox seems to be in worse shape every time this fight is mentioned.

And let's not forget Vitali took the fight on just two weeks notice.

Back to Chagaev: Did you watch the fight? He looked HORRIBLE. Not just the shape he was in either, he was so S L O W, no power on his punches.

He was fighting TRAVIS WALKER. The same Walker that Banks (who came up from Cruiser, and is Wlad's sparring partner), KO'd. The same Walker who was KO'd in 3 by Arreola.
Walker was also KO'd in ONE ROUND by Manuel Quezada.

    Chagaev has CLEARLY lost it.

Walker was hitting Chagaev with sloppy, loopy-wide rights with *TOTAL EASE*. It was pure target practice. Haye will have a field day, like shooting fish in a barrel.

This Chagaev is the worst I've ever seen him. He was never a HOF candidate, but at least two years to three years ago he was credible contender with a good defense. Good enough to mix it up in the top 5 anyways.

Last night Chagaev was almost decked by a journeyman. Twice he was in big big trouble IMO. Terrible.

Chagaev ought to consider retirement right after he collects his paycheck for being brutally knocked out by Haye.

Utter garbage. Lewis was in horrible shape. A motivated and in shape Lewis would come in at 246-248lbs. He weighed 256lbs vs Vitali.

Lewis looked SLOW too, and was breathing heavily, but a Prime and in shape Vitali couldn't take him out - that's a fact.

You cannot say 6lbs makes Chagaev slow as hell and out of shape and at the same time say the 8-10lbs Lewis weighed over didn't make much difference. You cannot have it both ways.

Of course he was breathing heavily. This was no punch and lean fight against a smaller opponent like he was used to. Vitali was actually the one who wasn't properly conditioned for this fight.

I concur:good, certain aspects of Chags game had already started to decline by the time he ventured into the ring to face Wlad.

I agree, but I am also sure Haye will get hit much much more than WK! :p

Vitali was gassing too, but he was younger, fresher and didn't come in heavy like Lewis did.

I didn't say Lewis was in top form, he wasn't, just that he was not in as bad of shape as a lot of posters seem to think. I've got a pic on my office wall of the Vitali - Lewis fight, and Lewis looks a heck of a lot better than Chagaev did last night. That's for sure.

Chagaev is so much smaller too, so yes, extra lbs would affect him more than Lewis...just look at the pic below of Wlad (who is similar in size to Lewis) next to Chagaev.

The *White Tyson* had better up his game if he gets the Haye fight. Cause like him or not, Haye has great hand speed combined with crippling power.
