I think there was some strong mitigating circumstances for that though, don't you? And it took Bellew 11 rounds. Against a man with one leg.
Yes, he would add a lot entertainment to the heavyweight division, maybe it's only wishful thinking from my side but i don't want to write him off based on his performance against Bellew, we will see in his next fight if i'm wrong or not.
I wish he could make a real comeback. With Wlad, Fury and Haye gone everything feels so boring. Only dull bums are left.
Haye was too heavy against Bellew. Relient on speed, he shouldn't have come in that kind of condition.
I don't know, i think the next fight will be a rematch against Bellew, Haye wants it but i'm not sure if Bellew wants to fight him again.
Yes, being shot and not having fought anyone worth a damn in five years might have had something to do with that.
Haye would beat everyone if he wouldn't be injured and duck fighters. Future ATG. /s (for the people who can't sense it ..)
From what I understood Bellew wants it, if he gets his terms but Haye wants it in his terms since he thinks he's the a-side. Since Bellew is the winner I'd say i support him in this. EDIT Haye also need Bellew more than vice versa. Bellew could fight whoever, or even move back down to cruiser. Haye must come back injury free and beat Bellew (or a ranked heavy) in order to be even a bit relevant.
Looks like hayes went too far into the celebrity life to be a challenger nowadays. Thats what it looked like under mcguigan anyway. One things for sure if that was a motivated well trained injury free haye against bellew from the first round...its over for him. Timing was way off. Far too predictable etc. Footwork poor. Hes up against it with his style. Hoping the new guy can get more out of him or he was injured going in against bellew. Think he gets unfair stick regarding his first two fights. He,d had 4 years out. Getting the rust off. Plus more importantly with him promoting it he had a budget. Not many guys wanted to fight him for that budget. What can you do really. Plus these guys got his ranking up. Pretty much as simple as that as bellew would say.
Vitali went in at the top after a four year layoff and at a more advanced age. Haye gets exactly the right amount of stick for those turd-like fights as he deserves. At any rate, he's finished. He can't train to compete at the top level without injuring himself, and he doesn't have the talent to win fights any other way. At this stage I'm not even sure if he can cherry pick his way to a cash out fight anymore. Bellew was meant to be that fight, and look how it turned out.
