If you're talking about my post read it again. The point is you can't rank people who's out of the game, not where to rank them. The comparison is that Vitali has earned as much to be ranked the last six years as Haye.
He already did. He missed Bellew's chin by two or three miles with every punch he threw. That was shocking to see.
And what exactly are you basing this on? How many top 20 HWs has Haye fought let alone won against in the last 5 years? Zero.
Hayes might not be totally done yet but if he keeps returning while injured or partially healed he risks flying through the ropes after getting savaged by some young healthy whippersnapper, landing on the cement floor square on his head and being done for good. BTW Better to leave with dignity than to have to egress in a blaze of humiliation.
Still dont get why people are so insistant that guys retire unless their becoming a danger to themselves. It feels a bit like he shouldnt come back incase he maybe does something or achieves something. The guy looks like he wants to fight on...good on him tbh...we,ll soon find out if he can hold his own or not. People are looking at it...saying his style isnt suited for an older fighter...but tbf he wouldnt be the first one that changed his style as he aged. Maybe the new guy can bring it out him. Who knows but still think hes got enough questionmarks there to at least be worth a comeback. He still hits hard enough. If he can land them punches he becomes a danger to pretty much anyone. Thats the hard part tho. Tbh i thought he was dreadful early against bellew. Still questionmarks weather there was an injury going in. Regardless though he deserves the right to give it another go.
Ye Yeah, I think so too. It would be interesting to see him against Duhaupas or Brazaele, I'd put it around 50/50 but give the edge to them since we at least know what they are now
I think you're a generally decent poster, so I didn't call you out by name, but yeah, both times you've put Haye and Vitali on an equal level, which is nuts. Vitali is an atg who retired on a win. Haye was never remotely at that level in the first place and has a lot more going against him post retirement. It would be fair to rank VK #2 now if he came out of retirement. It's a bad joke to rank Haye even in the top ten.
Haye v.s Povetkin before he retires I've always wanted to see that one. It would be a fun fight with lots of fireworks.
Too rank Haye right now is nuts. Too rank Vitali right now is nuts. That's the point. Sure, if Vitali makes a come back he'd get ranked, but he won't.
I don't care what Haye does, so long as he doesn't stink up my airwaves calling for fights he doesn't have business being part of. If his minuscule bunch of moronic fans want to watch him knock over a bunch of bouncers then I say give 'em what they want. Everyone needs to make a living.
