I know a lot of people still think Vitali is virtually invincible, but for anyone who watched his last fight closely, or at all, Vitali has slowed...considerably. Kevin Johnson was actually daring Klitschko to hit him, which I understand is much easier when when you aren't actually throwing any punches. But the fact is that a young Vitali would have murdered Johnson in a couple of rounds. It would have been a virtual replay of the fight against Kirk Johnson.

Simply put, Vitali is past it...and if he doesn't retire soon, he's going to get beat. That is why David Haye should be using that motorboat mouth of his to hype this fight before Vitali hangs em up.

Right now, the man is 38, and he has maybe a fight or two left in him. Haye will officially go down as the dumbest Englishmen since that producer who passed on the Beatles if :-(he throws away this golden opportunity.

Sir, Vitali won every single round, so your arguement is therefore incorrect.

He won because Johnson was terrible and landed very few punches. You know he landed 5 powershots during the entire fight? Vitali won comfortably, but looked slower than previously and couldn't knock Johnson out.

While I agree Vitali has slowed (natural when you are his age) Vitali still DOMINATED KJ.

bottom line is ...IMO.... Haye is about holding a belt so he can say he is champ.... NOT about fighting the best as he said... and IMO he will not fight a Klitschko an ytime soon as it is to much of a risk for him and he might loss it all.

Look at when he came up. He took the fight with the least amount of risk...Barrett

    Then

He took a championship fight with the least amount of risk...Valuev

He will continue to take fights with the least amount of risk

No thats incorrect. Read his post!

He said Vitali has slowed which is entirely correct.

He didn't say anything about who won the rounds!

None of the title holders want to fight the best.

    Sir,

He failed to get a knock out for the first time in what 6 years! He also looked sluggish and slow and he never hurt Johnson.

Right. My point, or opinion, was that a young Vitali would have murdered Johnson inside a few rounds. That is why Haye has a better shot against Vitali then he ever did. The rewards for this fight far outweight the risks. Haye would not only unify the titles, but he would up the first legitimate heavyweight superfight since Tyson Lewis...with Wladimir of course. He will be doing boxing fans a great disservice if he doesn't do everything in his power to make this fight.

I do not blame the Klitschkos for not fighting each other, but it would be wrong to give them special treatment.

They aren't getting special treatment. Since no organization can demand unification, they really haven't broken any rules...at least, not any that I'm aware of. You'd have a point if one of the brother was the number 1 contender for the others' belt and he refused to fight him out of of consanguainity....but that simply isn' the case.
