Im basing on what HAYE said... "I only want to fight the best"...yet EVERY time "The best" was mentioned (guys before Barrett was signed) Haye would say yes...then somehow there was a contract issue..... then when time to fight a brother.... contract issue... Haye says yes to get credit for saying "Yes Ill fight this guy or that guy" then it falls apart and Haye runs to the media and says..."the contract sucks". Haye did it 3-4 times before fighting Barrett (didnt fight the best) then did it 2 times before fighting Valuev (once again..didnt fight the best) You hoinestly dont see the pattern of Haye and his fights?... "Ill fight the best, then blame the other fighter in the media (so Haye gets the credit), then fights a lower level guy:deal Haye is ONLY good for the brothers if he ends up in the ring with 1 of them.. and im not so sure it happen anytime soon!
According to Haye he was always a natural heavyweight and it was killing him to be at cruiser you cant have it both ways. Also he is the one who called out the brothers not the other way around claiming he wanted the fights. He claimed to only want the best and then proceeded to do the opposit when given the opportunity to do just that.
I see Haye haters are in full swing in this thread so ill gatecrash it, Haye did he right thing against Vitali, when he was going to fight Wlad he genuinly got injured, then they when the was talking the vitali fight over they tried to tie him up in some slave ass contract which nobody in there right minds would sign, So he went and fought the other champ, beat him and now has a bargaining chip at the negotiating table, all tis about "well before Haye said this and Haye said that before his Barret fight" is irrelivent, Now Haye is the HW champ and can call some of the shots end of.... and when it comes to it im pretty confident Haye will beat Vitali, weather or not that may be true remains to be seen. in the mean time stop trying to discredit Haye because your pissed off he picked up the WBA strap
I dont believe that at all..... Sentanta hurt Haye back... not shaddow boxing Wrong!. It shows a pattern of poor negociations by Haye and BOOTH You should have heard some of the **** they were demanding..... **** that has NEVER EVER been asked for before in a championship fight.... According to lawyers dealing with the contract... who I completely believe
I agree, its now a good time to take on vitali, he is vulnerable and is slowed down, i just dont think haye can do it personally, but it should be exciting watching him. He should fight both brothers in 2010 and not hang around fighting lesser guys
There were medicals to prove if im not mistaken? Yeah but he never seen what kind of contract he would be taken under true? I thought it was the Klits who were demanding rediculous option after the fight, if he beat them? such as a 3 fight deal on half as much money ect? Smart money would tell me to **** them off go beat Valuev and then go back with better options once he gets his mandatorys out of the way
I think Haye is waiting on Vitali to slow down a little more, then he'll step up and fight him, Haye will probably still lose but his chances will be better.
Wow Do some research and have a look at Haye's career. If there's any british fighter of the last 20 years who's not scared to get beat or take risky fights its David Haye.
Haye is good for the brothers even if he doesn't fight them, he has brought a lot of focus on them and TV will pay more money for them. Haye will fight either one or both of the brothers, he just wanted to get the most money he could for the fights which is fair enough. Have faith, he has never ducked anyone.
Ever consider that Vitali, and all that he brings, may have had something to do with why Johnson saw no way to mount any offensive attacks? I get so disgusted with how, when a fighter dominats someone, they get no credit, and the opponent is dismissed as being *not trying* or a tomato can who wasn't any good, to begin with. The dominating fighter's performance has an awful lot to do with W H Y the opponent didn't have any game to bring. Johnson sure didn't lay on the ropes in all of his other fights, did he? (all fights that he won, by the way, as he was undefeated) Bottom line: Vitali Klitschko was the reason why Johnson looked so bad. Gotta see the cause and effect of it.
