Usyk wasn't that impressive vs Chisora, but he wasn't pathetic. He was more dominant over him than Whyte or Parker, although that's not exactly impressive as they both would get pulverised by AJ. I think the point is is that if Usyk HW peak is what we saw vs Chisora, it's game over for him. He'll have to step up his performance.
The much better fighter is the guy who can beat the other guy. Not the guy who would win imaginary fight where other guy loses his power, size and changes to completely different fighter
Of course I agree, lets install Josh Taylor vs 40 y.o Durodola. Durodola will be much better fighter and it will be good if JT even will be alive after such fight vs uncle Durodola. Size doesn't matters at all in boxing. JT MUST fight vs Crawford with 0 doubts. ASAP and I will wish to see your comments after this how size does not matters in boxing.
Pathetic, lol he won more rounds than Parker and AJ said he struggled to keep Chisora off him in sparring because he was so strong.
And who said Parker 's good? They were both absolutely pathetic against Chisora. Fury and Vitali had shown how it's done.
Haye was never a good boxer just a big puncher so it clouds his judgement when it comes to predicting fights.
Haye still wakes up at night thinking about fighting a heavyweight who would have put it on him like Fury would have. Wlad let him off lightly.
Usyk is giving away huge advantages in natural size, weight, reach, height, power, and he's also giving away youth and home advantage travelling into the lion's den of his opponent's backyard to fight AJ in front of 60,000 fans where he will likely have to KO him to get a draw. He's also been very inactive and only had two fights at the weight since officially moving up, neither of which he looked anywhere near his best and neither of his opponents are anything like AJ in terms of style of physical dimensions or good preparation for fighting someone of AJ's dimensions over 12 rounds as a pro. And he's only fought twice in total in three years and two of his last three opponents are good friends of AJ and all the data they and their team downloaded about Usyk will be passed onto AJ, who FTR said probably about a year ago now that he was going to quiz Usyk's opponents and find out how to beat him. And Usyk has been sparring with AJ's longtime chief sparring Bakole for weeks in preparation for this fight, Bakole refers to AJ as his ''best buddy.'' Point being is Usyk couldn't really have much more against him but still many are picking him to win. If they were the same size as each other Usyk beats him everytime and very few, if they were being honest with themselves that is, would pick AJ. Now reverse everything I said and see how many would give AJ a snowballs chance in hell. Even just 25% of all that in Usyk's favour and few would pick AJ. Loma is a much better fighter than Jermello but size matters. Not saying, ala AJ vs Usyk, that Jermello's not good but no one would pick him to beat Loma if they were the same size as each other.
You could almost switch Usyk's name with Michael Spinks and Joshua's name with Mike Tyson in that post. This has the same feel as that had in the lead up. People kept going, well, Spinks is clever. He thinks on his feet. He's unorthodox. They say he can't punch at heavyweight but he can. Everybody likes him. He's kind of a goofball. He's a slow starter but he'll figure it out as the fight progresses. On and on and on. I believed in Spinks and gave him the benefit of the doubt then. But I'm older now. Maybe I'll be totally surprised. But this has always looked like a very short, easy, explosive night for Joshua.
Spinks came in the ring absolutely terrified though I dont think I've seen many examples of a boxer as full of fear as he was that night I can't see Usyk being the same
He's writing Usyk off totally because if Usyk gives AJ any trouble whatsoever, let alone beats him, Dubblechin will have absolute licence to trash AJ for his terrible performance.
