David Haye is nothing like George Foreman. Bad comparison.

Size:I keep hearing that Haye is just like Foreman but he isn't at all.
Haye was originally a CW. George was always a HW. Haye's top weight was about 222. George weighed as much as 236 in the 1970's but walked around at 240. A perfectly in shape Foreman was around 220-225 meaning he has a much bigger frame than Haye which is true since Haye's absolute top weight is 225 or so. Look at Foreman from the Ken Norton fight compared to Haye from the Wlad fight. Haye would look like a kid compared to Foreman. Also,Foreman was about 6'4 and Haye is really about 6'2. The 6'4 Audley Harrison towered over Haye and Haye is just a hair or so taller than Chisora. Not that Haye is a small man but he's just not as big as Foreman who was big even at just 225 pounds in 1974.

Haye is a one punch stalker with a shaky chin who faced bad HW opposition.
Foreman was a nearly fearless seek and destroy fighter with a solid chin who beat great heavyweights like Frazier twice,Ken Norton,Ron Lyle and George Chuvalo.
Haye has great CW power and decent HW power. Foreman is one of the biggest punchers in the history of the HW division and hits ten times harder than Haye and was also far psychically stronger than him.

Haye was a silver medalist. George was a gold medalist. Haye was a WBA HW champion by beating old, slow, no power Valuev. Foreman was the undisputed lineal and legitimate champion by beating an undefeated ATG HW champion prime Joe Frazier.

So now I ask,how are Haye and Foreman similar?

 

He does punch hard but I doubt very highly that Foreman would flop to the floor 12 times like Haye did against Wlad.

 

But one of them was a good HW.

 

Haye is British,not American.

 

Foreman was 6'4. He was clearly an inch taller than the 6'3 Ali,the 6'3 Ken Norton and the 6'3 Ron Lyle. He was 2 inches taller than the 6'2 Holyfield,the 6'2 Tommy Morrison and 3 inches taller than the 6'1 Michael Moorer.
Foreman was 2 inches shorter than the 6'6 Gerry Cooney.
He was 6'4. And Haye has more definition,that's it. Foreman had 19 inch biceps! Lifted a 500 pound cow on his shoulders and used to pull jeeps around with a harness.
