Very nice win for Haye. A real highlight real stoppage for him.

The problem with your statement is this, Vitali was the No. 1 challenger for Lewis and he'd had it mandated that his next match had to be against Vitali. At that point Lewis was still saying he was going to carry one, probably he thought Vitali would crumble like Michael Grant did, after all he'd just seen Wladimir get wiped out by Sanders.

Does Haye even have a top ten ranking? I guess with the WBA & WBO he does after tonights win, but is he ranked in the WBC? If not he's not exactly a challenger.

In principle I agree with you though, I'd like to see Vitali against Haye.

Lewis not taking Vitali serious would probably have been the reason of Lewis so out of shape.
    Still tko6 :!:

I think he's at a very similar stage to the one Lewis was at when he stopped Vitali.
And for the guy(I knew there'd be one:rofl) who came up with the drivel about LL coming off his best win,Tyson was past it in 1990.
Most people with half a brain know Tyson was far from Lewis' best win.

Was actually Holyfield for me Pity, and he beat him twice. It's true Holyfield didn't look particularly fantastic against Bean prior to, but he'd just taken care of Tyson twice and unified the WBA/IBF straps resoundingly avenging Moorer. Just how little credit can you give a guy (LL) who beats a Top 10 ATG Heavyweight when he was considered the #1 Heavyweight in the World before their pair of bouts?

:rofl:patsch The Brits on here actually think Haye would engage with Vitali? :rofl:patsch

Haye would lose 120-108 on all 3 scorecards.

A welcome addition to the thread.:good
His two best wins were Holyfield(technically twice) and people shouldn't forget what he did to an old favourite of mine,Razor Ruddock.
It's only Klittard bull**** to suggest Tyson was his best win. That version was about 25% of "Iron" Mike.

I'd worry about Vitali picking up an injury. Vitali is faded enough and Haye is good enough to beat an injured Vitali. For me, VK is too old now to risk a fight like this. Not that I wouldn't be interested in it. If Vitali beat Haye at 41 it would be huge for his legacy

Personally I'd like to see Haye knock out Povetkin en route to a Wlad rematch. If Haye beats Povetkin like he beat Chisora and Vitali retires, Haye becomes number 2 in the division and Wlad-Haye 2 becomes another huge fight
