What tactics? Look man, Ruiz was turning his head! If you are in the motion of attacking, You can't withdraw a punch that is in motion! Ruiz was turning his head! It was not Hayes fault. Besides, it was his nose that was broke and his face that looked busted up.
This is utter nonsense. He had his man hurt and Ruiz was half turning away and he was trying to finish him. They weren't precisely aimed intentional rabbit punches, he was just going for the kill and happened to catch him. He apologized afterwards and said he deserved a point. Womanly thread. Anyway, very professional display by Haye and for all Ruiz's bad press he came to win a lot more than many other heavyweights. He walked through an onslaught tonight and tried his best.
I am sure the thread starter was disgusted with Ruiz for hitting Haye 3 times after the bell.........Or maybe the thread starter is one of those Haye haters who thinks that the Klits are gods gift to boxing as they are big and white and fight like Ivan Drago.
Absolutely. I'm amazed that the OP is SO disgusted with Haye owning up to hitting a guy on the back of the head...with no mention that Ruiz was turning away. It's not as if he bit a guys ear off! Grow up OP.
**** happens in a fight. You don't just stop punching because somebody puts their head down and/or turns their back on you.
Always trying to work your thoughts of Wlad vs Peter into EVERY topic regardless of who it is about.:rofl:rofl
I agree that most were when Ruiz turned his head around but the first one was straight to the back of his head and he went for it. He could have knocked him out and been DQ'd. But yes after that, some of them were Ruiz's fault. Ruiz turned his head then Haye hit in the back unintentionally and readjusted to hit Ruiz on the side.
Oh yeah the first one was obviously stupid, but still not something done with nasty intentions, you know? He was hyped up, trying to get his man out of there! And he should of calmed down but still, I don't think he expected to knock him down that early with that sweet one-two.
That's unfair. He proved he was a very brave guy who could take heavy punches and still keep coming. He did turn his back but what would you do in that situation? I know that if Haye had hit me with those punches, the only direction my back would be turning would be towards the canvas.
It was a good performance but there were too many rabbit punches from Haye for my liking....he was dirty tonight for sure
