In all seriousness, alot of people hate Haye is not cause he's from england, it's cause he talks so much trash that he won't back it up. He said for years that he wanted to fight the Klits so badly and even made a tshirt but when he had his chance twice to face both Klits last year, he back his way out. <<And why? cause of his bs excuses. But now since he's the wba champion, Wlad called out Haye and even accept 50/50 split just to get Haye in the ring but what does Haye do? He's about to fight an over the hill Harrison who lost to fat bum Danny Williams? Wow.

**** like this makes you wonder if they are one person, that or twins with fetal alcohol syndrome who also happen to be dropped on their heads a few too many times.

Not just because he's British. It's because of his mouth as well. Some folk on here are very pathetic the way they get behind two Ukrainians, just because the have no decent heavy weights of their own.

Being British has nothing to do with it for me... I am from America and have absolutely no problem with England, Ireland or Scotland.... In fact, I love those countries and their culture... If I couldn't live here anymore, I wouldn't mind going to live there...

Anyway, my biggest problem with Haye is that he's been campaigning himself as a premier player in the heavyweight division for nearly two years, and hasn't beaten anyone of note to warrant this claim.. He has been offered deals by both Klit brothers and has rejected both... Now there is talk about him facing the unranked Audley Harrison... No one will take him seriously if he continues to face this type of opposition, and I certainly won't....

I'm embarrassed to be an American of Scottish decent when I read your posts............................

How is David even worth 50% against Wladimir who has defended his multiple belts, multiple times, he's the Ring Champ & he's regarded as the true Champion by any sane boxing fan?

I find it hilarious that people could actually dislike someone because of what country they live in. I see people rant and rave about how they hate such and such boxers just because they are from america and it amazes me every time i see it. why would that possibly have any influence on how you feel about someone as a fighter?

Im not a David Haye fan but i dont hate him, i just think people (himself included) think way to highly of him considering his relatively weak resume. Once he actually starts doing something worthy of the praise then he'll get it. But my feelings towards him have absolutely nothing to do about what country he is from.

It is bull**** that anyone dislikes Haye because he is British.

However, there are a large number of people who support him blindly because he is British. Parochialism is one of the only reasons he has any fans left at all.

Unsurprisingly, the OP has this issue 100% back to front.

Some of my favorite heavy weights are British, Lennox Lewis, Frank Bruno, etc... I also had high hopes for Herbie Hide, but he never materialized...

Hide got caught by a couple lucky punches, and his career went down hill.

    One could be a fluke.
    Two could be bad luck.
    Three is a pattern.

It's not anyone's problem the division doesn't have enough good names for him to find. I think he proved enough guts flying to Valuev when he knew how many gift decisions Valuev has been getting in his career, not only that but he also went to Mormeck's backyard after the shameless display against Bell in the rematch.
