The 30 year-old had been due to retire in October when he turns 31 but speculation has grown that the Londoner would postpone in the wake of his points loss to the now unified champion and Haye has confirmed the rumours to German newspaper Bild.

"I've reconsidered everything after talking to my family and meeting with Lennox Lewis in Montego Bay, Jamaica,” announced Haye.

"If I am given a rematch against Wladimir - which I do not believe I will - or Vitali will fight me, I will postpone my retirement for six months.

WBC champion Vitali faces Tomasz Adamek tonight in Poland and the ‘Hayemaker’ is hoping that the 40 year-old comes through his latest defence and negotiations can then get underway.

"I will keep my fingers crossed Klitschko wins, something I wouldn't normally do to save my life," he said.

"I want him to clean up this Polish plum Adamek and retain his title, so that he will fight me.

"Wladimir couldn't put me down and he had the referee, judges and fans on his side. I had no real chance.

"Vitali should give me the chance, if he dares. He is supposed to have a dangerous punch, which I doubt.

"My broken toe is okay again and Vitali is 40 and will stop at some point.

"For his finale, there is no better opponent than me.

"I would send him into retirement, but without his championship belt,” added Haye.

He's using his "retirement" as a tool to make it seem people want to see him run scared for 12 rounds again. Please just retire and go away forever.

OMG! Haye is loudmouthing again... He probably thinks enough time has passed, and he can fool his fans yet another time.

He should just have said; "I'll retire..." and leave the Vitali Klitschko part out. :bart

If Vitali could beat Adamek followed by Haye it would be a brilliant end to his career.

te thing is now Vitali fans think Adamek is in a mismatch and think Haye is a fraud.

They won't see this as a good finish to Vitali's career making them haters...

He just recently said he has three more fights after Adamek.

Haye is, by far, the best possible choice at this point.

I wonder if Haye will be at the fight, so he can get in the ring and start his mouthing to hype this beast up. :good

So glad to hear the toe is Okay.

i was very concerned when I heard about this possibly career-ending (even life-threatening) injury.

When he pulled off his sock and showed us, I could feel his pain.

    Man's a true warrior !

Vitali still has the number of this dude. Haye has zero chance even if Vitali is 40.

Well Lufc, Haye is a fraud... Not because of his abilty, but with his ways to try and make everyone believe he's going to do something he's never ever planning to do in real life. And there's always an excuse afterwards why the fight didn't turn out as planned. "I broke my hand in the 2nd round", "I didn't spar enough", "I bet on myself in round 3", "I broke my pinky toe" :-((

Now he's going to "retire" Vitali?!? Everybody knows he's going to run and potshot when those two guys actually enter the ring together. He's going to retire nobody, he's going for another big sham.

Adamek on the other hand is no fraud at all... He's less talented as Haye, but brave and an overachiever, a real champion!
    Huge difference with Haye.
