I think Haye has stamina issues, he seems like he's bulked up again for this fight. He was getting hit more towards the end of the Ruiz fight, this as we know is not an option against Wlad. Also seemed shattered in his fight with Valuev, bearing in mind he barely got hit and I cant recall one single clinch. I think he'll have to try and take Wlad out early.
:think hardly Pernell Whitaker is he. Being elusive for 12 rounds against a Oaf like Valuev is one thing. Haye wasnt so elusive against Mock (down and hurt) Barret (unofficially down and a bit hurt) Frogemeni (pizza faced ) Carl Thompson (beaten down) Mormeck (down and hurt)
its reasonable to believe though - if not certain - reasonable to believe One full blooded right hand from Wlad - could be enough to floor and finish Haye. Wlad will land in this fight - and Haye will be in trouble. Put your house on it. :yep
I still find it hard to believe that if he's gone 6 rounds and the the bell for the 7th rings its suddenly all over. As long as he's upright he is dangerous. He had his best moment in the Valuev fight in the 12th round, which is at odds with this idea that once its past the half way stage its game over.
I think he looked very lean in the last video. I think he may come in only 2-3 lbs heavier than vs. Harrison.
It's not going to be as easy as people think for Wlad to land a right hand. He doesn't throw lead right hands, he measures a right hand off a jab, and even then very intermittently. It's reasonable to believe he will be cautious, as he knows Haye is the best fighter he's fought in a long, long time. The best fighter he hasn't got an L against. If he doesn't get his jab going, and lets not forget he's not really a march forward and pressure my opponent with the jab type of guy, he's more a lets dictate from distance kind of guy, its going to be hard for him to land it.
No, this fight wont be over till its over. The right punch from either guy and its done. Will say, if Wlad senses Haye is tired, he'll fight smart and grind him down with that jab, he'll only take a risk if Haye is more or less dead on his feet. I thought he looked similar to when he was fighting Ruiz, muscles at the neck and arms seems bigger. I may be talking **** tho!! I agree that everything Wlad does is off the jab, ... Im concerned( well not really as a Wlad fan) that he was hit so frequently in the bout with Ruiz, esp with jabs!! Maybe Haye punched himself out tho and im looking too much into it?
Well apparently he didn't have sparring, thats obviously going to hurt your sharpness. But the thing is Ruiz, was walking through fire. It's a different type of pressure he was putting on with his jab compared to what Wladimir does regardless of whether Wlad's jab is miles superior (which it clearly is). I think Wlad's jab is going to be surprisingly easily nullified by Haye early in this fight at least.
Ruiz took a lot of punishment that night, you're right. So if Haye is to avoid the jab, we all agree its Wlads main weapon, he'll have too expend a lot of energy fighting off the back foot, circling Wlad ect which kinda ties in with my prediction I think the moment Wlad does have ANY sort of sucess, its over. Ive bet on a Wlad stoppage(quite a big bet) but I might 'straddle' it with a Haye stoppage 1-6.(4/1) or either fighter in 1-6(5/4) Wlad tko/ko 5th.
Adam booth im sure will have taken this all into account aswell, look at how he took away Degales skillsets but not giving Degale time to set up the Blender, which showed a very indepth knowledge of the sweetscience.
Just been catching up with this thread. Hilarious. Pizza has been mentioned more times here than in an average night at Dominos. God bless White Tiger.
