Even based on Chisoras performance it makes little sense. Chisora was happy to trade with Vitali and even put him on the back foot at times. Even though he is sloppy he throws with intentions and vitali was smart enough not to risk getting caught with a wild haymaker.

Haye will apply the same tactic he used against Wlad and will hope this time he can beat his opponent to the punch once he is on the inside then run like hell. Even if this works he is unlikely to get a decision in Germany based on a hit and run strategy. He will not go toe to toe as he knows he can be KO'd and landing sporadically wont get him a KO imo.

Haye gets knocked out. Vitali ain't afraid of Haye's punches.

Pretty much spot on :deal. The in and out tactics Haye tried to adopt vs Wladmir were never going to work, it was all about intelligent pressure but Haye neglected to consider that.

However, I feel they would be more successful in a fight with Vitali so have to disagree with you on their potential effectiveness. He's not going to fight like Chisora did, as you said, and that's the right thing to do because he wouldn't be as comfortable doing it as del Boy was. His speed is the one attribute he has over Vitali and if he applies it well, I think Haye could cause him some trouble. When he's potshotting and looking for counters, he can be pretty accurate IMO. But vs. Wladimir, his speed was nullified by the fact Wladimir was as quick in there and for that reason alone, he was never going to win on the back foot.

I do think Haye has a chance in this don't get me wrong but no more than I thought he had before the Chisora fight. I just think Vitali is the better suited brother to Haye but to make him favourite as some are saying here is plain wrong I think.

I'd love to see this fight. This shaded version of Vitali makes it competitive and interesting.

However, I find all this 'is he isn't he' talk now just :dead I just wish they'd sign up and get it on.

Fight was agreed in December. Vitali has said on both British and German tv tonight he wants the fight.

    Problem is Boente.

As a fan, I'd love to see it

I agree with what you are saying, my thoughts on this tactic is that although they will work better on Vitali and may give him problems I just think even if he pulls it off perfectly and racks up the points he wont get the nod over in Germany anyway, especially with a tactic that can be concieved as running.

I know he got the nod against Valuev but the Klits are way bigger than him (metaphorically) over in Germany.

Then you will not get to watch the fight. Recent events have made this the biggest fight on the table once more for Vitali. I do not except the Klitschkos, Haye or SKY can believe their luck! They all have a lot to thank Chisora for. He has put the Heavyweights back on the back and more importantly, front pages of the papers.

I think this fight is possibly going to be the first £30 PPV in the UK.

I don't think it'll be on PPV if it happens. The only way they could make it into a PPV show is if they had an excellent undercard or there was a Khan fight in America later on in the night. On it's own, there's no way they would sell enough to warrant it being PPV.

The best thing for Haye would be to fight on Sky Sports 1, hope lots turn in to see him beat Vitali and when a Wlad rematch happens, stick that on PPV.

Though as much as Haye and Vitali want the fight, Boente clearly doesn't. I think he'll stop it from happening.

Havnt we as boxing fans been kidded enough, its all the money money money, this is why Im unsure /sorry why I dont want to get on the Haye train again, I felt very let down by him in a few of his last fights.
I believe in David Price we have a fighter who will/can match any of the big fellas fighting for world titles, itl be great watching his next 12 months and what a gent

My Mrs has insisted that I take her....after tonight she wants a word with Waldo for beating up on smaller blokes, God help Wlad :deal. Wherever it is in Germany, it should be a good laugh.

BTW, Haye sheds Vitali, good style. All you sand in vag tossers who think otherwise are deluding yourselves. Vitali in June/July, Wlad Feb 2013 for the whole caboodle

I don't think Haye's a favourite - slight or otherwise - just for the record. I don't think he'll even look to engage more than he did against Wladimir, and after a few rounds he'll just look to survive and then boast post-fight that neither man could knock him out, and that they would face a proper challenge until he gets a third fight etc.

None of his fights at heavyweight suggest he's actually a good heavyweight.
