I didn't say Haye would be "destroyed". Haye has decent skills, not on Klitschkos level though, fast hands and obviously good power which in all probability will translate into a contender position at HW and maybe even a belt down the line. But because of his lack of punch resistance a lot of people ( significantly lesser fighters ) have the potential to take him out. And what does it matter if it was if 7th fight? He can try to improve his skills but he can't improve his punch resistance, that's something you have to deal with.

Well, actually the ref stopped him, not Haye. Mock beat the count easily and was obviously good to go but for some reason only the referee knows the fight was stopped.
Only if they land a good shot. Gurov is chinny as hell, Mormeck was past it but still floored Haye and what's Maccarinelli doing on that list? He was never more than an overprotected glorified nobody who hasn't beaten anyone, he didn't even win the belt he was wearing.
Well, I'm not excited. He's a guy that makes for entertaining fights, either he takes the other guy out or he gets knocked out. But he by far not what he is made out to be by guys like you.

ive watched lots of his fights and i know he has very good reflexes but you need, as i said, superhuman reflexes to get away without a guard - even mayweather, one of teh fastest of modern times, still defends himself properly.

Nearly KO'd is taking it too far. I dont think he was that badly hurt in the Mock fight. It was a decent shot, and Haye's legs were wobbly for about 30 seconds after the punch, then he was ok.

And you say feather fisted? I'd say he's a decent puncher from what I've seen, Sven Ottke he aint. Point is that ANY half-decent fighter above 12 stone can knock a man down. Especially an inexperienced pro like Haye was. Just like a nobody like Jim Twite can KO him in the amatuers, these things happen to young novice fighters.

What I dont understand is how people can get fixated on such incidents, which happend early in this guy's career, and yet overlook such facts as Haye took one or two very hard right hands from Jean Marc Mormeck and didn't flinch. He took dozens of vicious bombs against Carl Thompson and stayed on his feet. His chin isn't granite, but its not that bad.

By the way Haye looked awesome against Mormeck. Mormeck won two rounds, Haye outboxed him and used excellent ring-savvy and intelligence for most of the fight. Fragomeni? Fragomeni won 2 rounds and barely landed anything of substance. Just because he was a hard man doesn't mean Haye really struggled, I think Haye dealt with him using intelligence and craft. Johanssen did **** all to Haye, I dont think he even won a round did he? Yeah he landed a few punches, but this is boxing, what do you expect?

Haye has the potential to beat every heavyweight out there including Wlad. Wlad is very very vulnerable to quick an hard-hitting fighters who catch him early ala Corrie Sanders. Haye is like Sanders x 10. Wlad likes to fight cautiously, and Haye likes to trade. Haye could blast out Wlad in a couple of rounds, but alternatively Wlad could blast out Haye. Its a tale of two power-punching heavyweights, the first one to land the big shot wins.

Haye's jab is pretty good by the way, he used it well against Fragomeni, Bonin and Mormeck.

The way he fights is the way he fights. Look at his counters they are ****ing brutal.

He gets KO'd he gets KO'd. 200lb men will knock each other out. The way Wlad fights these days you go against Haye tentatively your ****ed.

I don't critisise Haye's technique because it's important for a fighter to have his own style and identity - it seperates good and great fighters.

Truth is, Haye beat a weak champion in Macca and now is acting cocky and disrespectfull toward the HW champs.

If he thinks he will be facing another version of Macca against Wlad, Chagaev or even Vitali, he will be up to a big surprise.
