David Haye: "Klitschko disgracing boxing"

I dont know Kobe is god, Vitali was very popular 03-04, after he gave a spirted effort against Lewis, he became a household name, and he even had a PPV match against Williams back in Nov of 04, something Wlad has yet to do, the difference between the two brothers are one's willing to go toe to toe with his oppenent, the others not. I have learned over the last 10 or so years, the American people love for there fighters to have Heart, power, and enertaining personality, at this time, Wlad only possess one of those attributes IMO, which is not enough to get the average fans attention.

 

I've heard something about Wlad not being on ppv because he doesn't want his fans to pay for his fights. I don't know if that's true or not, but wondering if anyone else has heard that? I don't know whether or not to call bull**** on that. Normally I would because who wouldn't be on ppv seeing as you'd get more money? But on the flipside its Wlad and it sounds like something he'd say.

Vitali is definately the more respected brother I think. He's not as skilled, but much more easier to cheer for because he will step in there and trade and not give a ****.

 

I have heard the same, but in all honesty, could you imagine the outrage if people payed 50 or 60 bucs to see that Iggy fight? Heavyweight boxing would of got more than a black eye that night, same goes if the Wlad/Brewster 2 fight was put on PPV, which were two fights some people said should of been on PPV before they were fought. With Vitali you get a good fight with toe to toe action, with Wlad anymore you get a tactical beatdown, which for the average fan is usually boring.

 

haye is a nice cruiser, but he is nothing close to what holyfield was, and holy had to absorb some pretty heavy punishment to make it as a hw. I don't see haye really being a top hw.

 

People like Rocky..they like underdogs with heart. Vitali is an underdog with heart.

As per Haye and Holy, Holy was once classified as having a "weak chin". What made Evander so outstanding as a fighter was how he went from hurt to offensive so quickly. Against Bowe in one of the fights he gets wobbled and is throwing back before Bowe can even capatilize. Holy was unreal with recouperating powers.

 

Yeah, but part of that was because he didnt fight exciting enough at times, unlike Tyson or Holyfield, who usually put on a exciting show for there viewers. Back in 04, Vitali was well on his way to becoming very popular, his fighting style was everything you want to see as a fight fan.

 

Some guys take shots better as they move up in weight because they're less weight-drained.

Pacquiao was stopped a couple time early in his career, Hussein dropped and hurt him with a jab at 122, and he was hurt when he went down against Yeshmagwhateverhisname is, but he seems to take shots very well now, and better as he's moved up.

DLH was dropped a couple times early in his career at 135 and 130, but has faced a lot of quality hitters as he's moved up in weight and rarely gets dropped or hurt.

Yeah, that is a black spot on Vitali's career, but come on, he was winning/going to win the fight had he opted to finish. A torn rotator is no joke. Now if he stubbed his toe and threw in the towel, that would be bad.

Yeah, even the greatest warriors have a off night, look at Duran, take Brewster for example, if you would of told me Brewster was going to quit on the stool against Wlad, I would of called you a liar, and would of sat you down and made you watch all the tapes I have him since 2000 when he fought Eitenne. I dont like to define a fighter by one night, rather a career, or a long period of time, to me Vitali made up for that one bad night, since then he has proved how tough he is in the ring.
