    I'd agree with that.

Here's hoping Haye goes through a few HW's first though. Clear out some deadwood.

I stayed up in the UK to watch the Klitschko fight and I was extremely disappointed to say the least; if that fight became the norm I'd certinly stop watching boxing. Haye's clearly piggy backing off Klitschko's poor performance to hype himself and I see nothing wrong with that!!

haye's speed, power and accuracy mean he will walk through a lot of the slow pondering heavies and look godlike... but as soon as he faces one who, say, has a great jab-right cross combo he will be obliterated. i wonder who fits that bill? you have to have superhuman reflexes to get away without a decent guard and haye doesnt have that.

Sure, one UD after four straight KO's makes Wlad a disgrace, go **** yourself! :thumbsup

I hope Wladimir hurts Haye real bad. The last guy who questioned Wlad's ballz was Austin, Wlad beat him by KO with one hand.

Maybe some nuthuggers need a reality chack. Has everybody seen Haye's fight against Lolenga Mock? You don't know Lolenga Mock? Here's all you need to know: Mock is a feather-fisted Supermiddleweight journeyman with a record of 28(12)-11-1, yeah that right, 12 Ko's in 40 fights. http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=17134&cat=boxer

Say hello to your new HW saviour. Getting stopped by 40 year old senior citizen Carl Thompson obviously doesn't tell the whole story. Mock really had Hye all over the place and if he had any kind of power and killer instinct he would have taken him out. btw very premature stoppage as well. :yep

NBT - You are quite right. I am a big Haye fan and I do think he can bring excitement to the Heavyweight ranks, but Wlad would destroy him.

Haye has a poor chin, no doubt about it that draining down to Cruiser has made it worse and the Mock shot was high on the temple. We can see from guys like Mundine who was KO'd by featherfisted Ottke from a temple shot and yet have eaten big shots from Kessler and Green since, that temple shots can be freakish in their effect.

However the fact remains that your punch resistance is not just your chin, McCall could have been punched hard in the temple and you know he would not have been going anywhere.
Haye is chinny. He also carries his left way too low and Wlad has fast hands, a bigger reach and a great jab.

Wlad would murder Haye, but Haye would have an outside punchers chance, simply because if his right hand landed flush then Wlad could be in trouble.

But people are getting way too carried away by Haye, I am confident he can have a great impact and would outbox and stop many of the fat, crap Heavyweights out there now. But he is vunerable and the Mock fight is one I have never been able to get out of my head.

I think Haye will stop Wlad; because the truth is Wlad is not very good is he? I mean he's the best of a terrible bunch Haye is better than average and we only have poor heavyweights at the moment! I expect Haye to smash and destroy the glass chinned robot.

Anyone using Lolenga Mock as proof that Haye is gonna be destroyed at Heavyweight is an idiot. Sorry, but that was Haye's 7th pro fight. And by the way Mock is actually a decent fighter, he's got a genuine granite chin. No-one else has stopped Mock but Haye. I've seen him fight plenty of times, he's a monster at 168lbs, ****ing massive. He's not feather fisted either I've seen him hurt Charles Brewer, who had a pretty strong chin back in the day. The guy was fighting at light-heavyweight prior to Haye and had also fought against Lasse Johansen, a future Haye victim, at cruiserweight. The fact he even fought Lolenga Mock in his 7th fight is impressive in itself.

If Haye gets knocked down by Lolenga Mock it stands to reason he would be stopped by murderous punchers like Gurov, Mormeck and Maccarinelli, right?

Its not often a fighter comes along at Heavyweight who is genuinely worth getting excited over, but Haye is one of them. Its ridiculous that he's being written off because he got knocked down on his 7th pro fight. Thats really scraping the barrel. There's no need for such cynicism, anyone who brings it up is trying way too hard to show how superior they are. Why dont you *******s just be HAPPY that the most exciting fighter in the world right now is making a run for the Heavyweight title?

Words - the fact it was Hayes 7th fight is totally irrelevant. The fact is that Mock was a Super Middle who sometimes fought at Light Heavy, he was then stepping up to Cruiser and he almost KO'd Haye.

He was not a good puncher, he barely stopped people at Super Middle and yes it was a good fight for Haye to take and if he had been roughed up a bit and come through with the win it would only be positives to take. But he was badly hurt and nearly stopped by a non punching Super Middle.

He was also starched in the amateurs by Jim Twite.

The point is that his chin is shaky. He was great against Mac, but he was not great for several rounds against Mormeck and ate right hands. In one sense it shows his chin is not awful but the fact is that one clean right from Wlad and Haye is done.
He might get up but he will be KTFO the moment he is up.

Hayes chance against Wlad is to take him out and land first, because he cannot box him, Wlad has a bigger reach and uses his jab far more than Haye and he also has a guard. Hayes left hand by the knee has seen him cut and busted up against Fragomeni, nearly KO'd by Mock, hit repeatedly and dropped by Mormeck, tagged numerous times by Johansen....

It is sloppy and against someone who hits as hard and as fast as Wlad it is suicide. Sadly I don't know if he can change it now, it is so ingrained in his style.....

Hopefully he could land first as he has the power and speed to stop Wlad. The rest of the Heavys are there for the taking, I don't rate any of them, but Haye needs to use his jab FAR more than he has been doing and he needs to pick up that left to protect his chin as even one clubbing right from someone like Peter and he is done.
