Alot of you guys know your boing really well. Would just like to know your opinions on this upcoming fight? Also who will win?
I met david haye the other night in liverpool at the show he promoted, i luv this man now, so nice with fans. I hope he wins, ive never liked Wlad tbh too much, as a fighter i mean. haye needs a stoppage for me.
Back in November 2006, I was asked to go to Grand Central Station in New York City, where I had to announce and introduce Wladimir Klitschko, Calvin Brock and Laila Ali. It was GREAT! They each gave a 1/2 workout and people all over the Station came over to watch as I kept announcing them and the show, which would be on HBO at the end of that week. They had a section for the fans and another section just for the press. The boxers gave their workout on the press side. Brock was their 1st, followed by Ali. Before I introduced Wladimir, his brother Vitali came over to me and asked me if his brother could say a few words over the mic after I introduced him. I then introduced Wladmir and he walked over to me and I handed him the mic. He then walked over to the otherside and started talking to all the fans that were there, the others didn't do that. The fans were taking pictures and he talked for several minutes and they gave him a nice hand. After his workout he talked to the press, as did the other boxers, and then he went by the fans again and talked for several more minutes. This time he picked a couple of small kids out and told his handler to take them over to the other side to give them something. I couldn't see what they got, but they were very happy. After he was done talking, both brothers came over to me and shook my hand and thanked me for giving them the time. I thought both brothers were CLASS ACTS, and they made a Big hit with everyone that attended.
We certainly do know our boing FG I can see this as going 1 of 2 ways. On 1 hand Wlad is better technically, has more compact punches, hits hard enough to destroy Haye's chin, where as Haye throws wider and leaves more openings. On the other hand Haye is a more natural fighter, is faster, better timing and ability to counter the left jab with fast overhand rights. Another thing is Wlad can pannick. So it could go either way but today I'm leaning towards Haye, tomorrow maybe Wlad
Rahman went past 4, I dont think Wlad will go out and blast him(Lewis Rahman II type). I think he hug, lean, and break him down that way.
I believe Haye has good speed and a good jab that he can utilize inside on Wladimir. He will be able to land some blows and get back outside and this could very well shake up Wlad for a round or two, BUT I believe Wlad will adjust and begin keeping Haye on the outside and on the end of his punches. Wlad has been in with some very fast and powerful punchers. Chris Bryd had speed and Corrie Sanders had speed and power. Wlad will be able to take the shots from Haye. However, once Wlad makes the adjustments (if he EVEN NEEDS TO) he will begin to land his jab, sneaky left hook and right on Haye. Haye hasn't felt this kind of shot from a big man yet. He has been dropped by a lot lesser punchers. Eventually I believe Wladimir will begin catch Haye like he did with the very cagey Chirs Byrd and that will be the end of the show. Manny Steward will probably already have the game plan and sparring partners in place to take advantage of Hayes weaknesses and fight tendancies as well as offering his excellent advice in the corner. While this looks to be a very entertaining fight and Haye might indeed have some moments early, I believe Wladimir will just be too much for Haye and will get him out of there not leaving the judges to render a decision. I believe that it is important for Wladimir to pressure Haye from the outset with his jab, double and triple it to set up his other combinations as well as right hand. He doesn't want to lay back and try to counter Haye.
I think Haye is completely overrated but his best shot at one of the Klitchkos is Wlad due to his weak chin. That being said I think Haye only has an outside chance at beating Wlad and it will have to come by KO. I dont see him beating Vitali at all.
Haye has a serious shot to KO him early like Sanders did. That's really his only chance though, if he goes into a shell or tries to outbox Wlad he's going to get knocked out. He needs to go out guns blazing in the first 4 rounds to try to find Wlads weak chin, and if he doesn't find it, he's probably done. My pick is for Wlad to survive a scare early and gradually wear Haye down until the late KO.
The way to beat WK is to put pressure on him, David Haye does not poccess Mike Tyson type/voilent pressure. David Haye is a slick, cager fighter..who can bang. So he is going to stand off WK slighty, giving WK a chance to get his jab pumping. If some how David Haye can make WK scared to through the jab, he will win the fight. Because if WK get's his jab working, you know what come's next..? The big straight right hand. Game over..
I read an interview with Haye in the Ring,I allways thought he came across as a bit brash and cocky ,but in the article he was shrewd and perceptive imo.I think he is as big a threat to Wlad as any one out there, and I give him a good shot,Wlad hasnt the chin of his brother ,but he is quicker and hits a little harder, imo,The problem with Wlad is he can go into a bit of a shell when attacked. Haye has not demonstrated a top chin in his fights ,but he is quick ,hits hard and has a fighters instincts, the man is 6 3in has a reach comparable to Wlad and is speedier I might have a bet on him myself. I thought Vitali looked laboured in his win and was running out of gas against a spoiler with little power,he looks like he could come apart suddenly in one night ,but there appears little chance of it, looking at the challengers. Both the brothers appear to be class acts ,intelligent ,personable and genuine decent men,I just dont see either of them as ATG's
Yeah Mcvey, i think Haye has a tad of cockiness about him, but it's not the type that is offensive. It's just a bit like he knows he's a good looking guy and a star and that's as far as it goes really. He doesnt seem to have any 'im better than you' in him to a large degree in my perception. I agree with you on the fight, he needs to get right hands in early i think. In honesty i do not see Haye beating Vitali, he's to strong, too durable and likely too much. And yea, both of the Klitschko's come across really well also, can't dislike hem out of the ring at all me.
