Povetkin/Haye would be a toss up, Haye's chin looks to be similiar to Wlads, but so is his power. After Povetkins less than impressive fight against Chambers, I think Haye got a decent chance of beating him and probably knocking him out.
I think Wlad has a better chin and much better power than Haye. Wlad kills Haye within 2 rounds. However, take Wlad out of the picture and Haye can beat any of the rest, he hits hard, is fast and has the advantage that the division is the worst one to ever exist within the sport.
I agree with you that Wlad has more power probably, but there chins are very comparable, both there chins seem to be made of glass. I just cant wait to see what will happen when a heavy handed heavyweight catches Haye something big, I have a strange feeling he's going to be compared to Audley Harrrison in that department.:yep
Nah...Wlad got up from shots by Sanders and bona fide Heavy with real bang. He has also taken shots from Peter and other genuine heavys. Haye was almost stopped by a Super Middle who could not punch at that weight, never mind Cruiser. He would have been out like a light from those shots by Sanders.
I'm inclined to agree despite being Hayes numero uno fan. I truly believe Haye takes out the whole division, he is just so ****ing impressive with the heavier weight, he's more stable and powerful than he is at cruiser.......Except Wlad, Klitschko is far too big and strong for Haye to compete with, and would find the gap in his defence even at heavyweight. This is no bad thing, I truly believe Wlad is the most under appreciated and underrated boxer for a long time.
It's tough to say, I guess will find out what his chins made of when he steps up to the Heavyweight level. Wlad is no stranger to being TKO'd himself, purrity, Brewster, and Sanders finished him off. Wlad has also hit the canvas 10 or 11 times by 6 different oppenents, Peter, Williamson, Brewster, Sanders, Pannell, and purity. I think they both have glass chins IMO, the only difference is Wlad got layed out against Heavyweights, something will soon find out if Haye could handle.
The Lolenga Mock knockdown was troubling, but since then who has been knocked down by? He took numerous, clean, hard shots by Carl Thompson, who even at that age was a vicious puncher. Mormeck? He went down but he wasn't too badly shaken, and got his foot caught on one of the advertising boards as he went down. Haye's chin is not granite, clearly, but I think at heavyweight he'll hold up fine. his defense? Hmmm, its getting better, but he still leaves his left hand too low and is vulnerable to a right hand.
