Sky Sports are reporting that David Haye is in talks to face Lucas Browne this May with the winner defending their title against Fres Oquendo.

Thoughts everybody? It seems Davey boy has found an easy route back to the top.

I think De Mori and Browne would have to be the easiest comeback trail any champ have ever undertaken, even for a lesser title like the one Browne holds.

I think there would be some step aside money for Fres with a guarantee at fighting the winner which in all likelihood would be Haye. That then generates much more money than a Fres vs Lucas fight so Oquendo would be quids in.

That and the WBA seem to love David Haye for some weird reason.

It would be a great fight, fck the strap. I'd like to see it. The type of matchup that we saw a lot of in the heavyweight division in the 90s.

David Haye is just seeking attention again, Browne is obligated to fight Oquendo next

What a predator Haye is, he's just trying to land Browne because he thinks he's the easiest way to a belt, I like Haye but I'd love to see Big Daddy knock him out cold and shock the world again.

Let the man have a few defenses before trying to steal his title from him already, Hearn's trying o do the same thing with AJ/Martin which will hopefully blow up in their faces in a big way as well. Go for the weakest champion that offers the least resistance and act like you've accomplished something huge afterward, how scummy.....only Martin isn't as weak as they think.:hey

    Well said.

Never liked Haye and I cannot believe how people are again buying into the hype.

Going for the weakest champion is not necessarily wrong. Most fighters do it. It's what you do afterwards if you win the belt.

Actually, Joshua is going after the second weakest champion in Martin.

True, Martin sucks, but Wilder is even worse.
