Does seem like he's carrying a few extra pounds, but he looks pretty solid under there. Could be deliberate bulking to try to make it harder for Fury to smother him? That said, that's exactly the kinda fight he should be trying to avoid; he needs to rely on his speed and mobility to keep it at range IMO.
I'm getting sick of people saying this. HGH does not give you a big gut! Are most athletes on it? yes HGH taken along side insulin for a long period of times gives you the inflated stomach look like alot of bodybuilders. Haye has not got a big gut here.... hes a little heavier and carrying abit of water weight.. You get to 15/16 stone and tell me if your gut is the same as it was when you were 11/12 stone....
He looks bigger than usual not as lean as his previous fights. I guess he thinks he will KO Fury quickly so the extra weight won't be a problem later on.
Sure, it could be a little bit of fat, or just his natural shape. His abs must be thick anyway. But some people do complain of swollen gut from long-term HGH use, not just bodybuilder guys taking insulin. Every individual is different. Some say they get it, some don't. There are not enough studies or reliable information to make any firm claims, so anecdotal evidence is a large part of what we have. I'm 213 pounds, the same weight as Haye, and older than him. I'm quite lean, train regularly, I'm 6'3 (apparently Haye is too). I don't have a gut like that. Not that it proves anything either way. Everyone is different.
He's definitely lost alot of weight throughout the training camp and might be coming into shape at the right time. He's been as high as 224, then was around 211-212 for his last few fights, but I expect him at 215-220 this time.
There may be no later rounds in this one. Fury best hope there is tho..cos thats where his only chance lives.
