I rate him. A unified Cruiser weight world champion and heavyweight world champion. Theres plenty of other heavies in the last decade who have won fukk all.

I also think he gave Vlad one of his toughest fights in a number of years, yeah the score cards were pretty much an agreed shut out but he was there worrying Vlad trying to be a threat all night long, just like the rest he couldnt get past the jab.

he irritates with some of the stuff he says and tries barging his way in for title fights but its how the sport is these days, if he didnt do it somebody else would and he wouldnt get very far.

As of now he has been retired, come back and faced a complete nobody, he shouldnt be thrown high up the world rankings as he is but again thats modern day boxing.

    Probably the most overrated, yes.
    HW resume is rubbish.
The Chisora KO and the close boring decision against Valuev are his best wins.

I thought he lost about 10 or 11 rounds against Wlad, though some of the first 6 rounds could have been even rounds. He did no better than 3 rounds won, 2 even if we're very generous to him. And Wlad was his usual cautious self. Terrible fight.

And he's even worse now. We can't tell much from 80 second fights against the likes of DeMori or Arnold Garbage, but he's 36 years old and had those injuries, his hands are fast but he was never fast on his feet and I doubt he has any upper body movement left.

close to the worst hw title wins in history - valuev the opportunist circus act (albeit still a handful), near 40 year old Ruiz, one of the weaker titlists when prime! and fraduley (nuff said).

its still something, it the hw title. but its some of the smallest potatoes in that category.

his CW reign is really just a watered down HW title, like WBF or an international belt.

I'd say no. because i think he really had the speed, the explosivity, and most of all, fine skills.

But if you look at his resume, then yes. It's terribly poor except for the two big fights against Valuev and Wlad. He fought like a chicken against both (Valuev was already beaten in much better fashion by dwarf sized Ruslan Chagaev)

Haye ducked a ton of interesting fights, he cherrypicked his way to the top. but it's not because he lacked the tools.

He lacked the *****. It's like he lost them in some of his friday night partner's *******

The problem is in boxing is that the ***** are part of the tools, you know?

So while Haye might've had the physical gifts the thing he was lacking was also important making him an overrated fighter. I remember reading from some fans how Haye -- H2H -- would dominate EVERY past fighter... but we barely saw him dominate any fighter above the B/C class.

-Got the decision against valuev in Germany made him do the chicken dance.

    - smashed Ruiz

    - beat rejuvenated Olympian Harrison

    - close fight in Germany with Wlad. After what happened to fury we all know what type of stunts Wlad plays on opponents, I had it 115-111 Wlad. With a fair ref and neutral location I would favour Haye

    - smashed a confident motivated chisora

    - all the while only semi interested and a blown up cruiser....actually pretty impressive

Fraudley Harrison. Those UKs couldn't leave him alone.

Honestly it's been so sad of a division, there is a handful of contenders that just 'maybe' had a chance'

Arreola got picked by a lot to beat Vitali for god's sake.

If you think Briggs has any chance whatsoever of beating Haye your views on his ability are extremely skewed. Haye is a top HW make no mistake. He would wallop guys like Povetkin.

Thank you, this needed to be said.

Haye is a mystery to me. The man talked his way into big fights and never proved his ability in the ring, yet people still talk of him as some sort of outstanding challenger and Wlads career defining fight.

Haye is probably the most overrated fighter in boxing, let alone the HW division.

Is he rated that highly or is he just a big name? Sure he was the man at the worst division in the history of boxing (cruiserweight) and people thought he might make a ruckus at HW, but he didn't do ****! Other than throwing a record low amount of punches against a slow giant who can't get out of his own way. Then after finally fighting Klitschko he gets embarrassed and blames his little toe. Then back out of two fights with Fury because he's scared. So if he is rated highly then yes he is most definitely the most ovverated hw of the past decade or past 2 decades at that

chisora is rubbish himself. his claim to being anything was supposedly being robbed against helenius. duhaupas just destroyed helenius. a two armed helenius, not the injured one chisora fought.
