Whilst I'd want to watch it there is a bit of a sour taste that Haye can bounce two unknowns up and down, spark a CW in Bellew and be in line to fight Joshua. I am a fan of Haye but the path of least / no resistance irks me.
He claims in that video that he was ready a year ago to fight Joshua, yet told everyone he needed to test out his shoulder and chose instead to fight two complete jobbers who he paid to take dives.
He's come back for his pension fund let's be honest. His opposition at heavyweight is a bit of a joke really.
Let's pray Bellew flattens him and denies him the pay day. I was a Haye fan the first time he retired but this embarrassing comeback has left a sour taste fighting bums, ducking Briggs and chasing £££
Sure he will, after AJ is violently KO'd by Wlad he'll be as expendable as David Price or Dillian Whyte.
Tough to really respect Haye ever since he jumped up to heavyweight. The Valuev fight, sure. That's it. He's a bad joke.
I am one of the very few that like Haye But i would have liked to see Haye beat an actual contender before getting a fight like this. Its kinda bs that hes able to just waltz right into it after having been gone for so long... but that being said, if the fight happens it will be one of the most anticipated fights of the year for me.
Joshua will fight wilder before he fights Haye. I doubt Hearn wants to give Haye an easy path to the fight either, I foresee Haye having to beat an ortiz or Pulev before Joshua.
"His team will have the confidence to say, ok, I've beaten Klitscho and David Haye is the biggest fight on the planet" The man is completely deluded on a Chris Eubank Snr level. Hearn is a money man if he thinks it makes sense in a risk to profit ratio he will get it on.
