He is going to get his ass handed to him. Thompson punked him hard, and that was just the beginning.

My God, Thompson was 40! And that was a 200 pounder who blew Haye's sorry carcas up.

He is nothing, not a damn thing. Break out the Lenny tapes, because that is all you yellow-teethed asshats are going to have during the David Haye 'era.'

    Ba ha ha ha!

While I'm reserving judgement on Haye at HW until he fights someone decent at the weight, I must still say that you are very wrong!

He's strong and quick. Yes he is chinny, but that hasnt stopped Wlad! Thompson beat Haye in Haye's tenth fight. He has matured since then - plus he showed that he had the balls by taking that fight in the first place!

Regarding Peter - as I say I am reserving judgement. But I think Haye will be a true contender so long as weight gain doesnt slow him down too much!

There is also a possibility that his chin could improve as he gets heavier (a la Cotto) but I doubt this would happen with Haye as he was not ridiculously weight drained for the Thompson fight - still needs to be considered though.

    We will see, I guess.

When I think of Haye fighting Peter, two words come to mind:

    Jeremy Williams.

Peter sucks, but Haye is just the kind of guy Peter would destroy and then the entire world would say Peter is the greatest fighter of the last decade, the next heavyweight savior.

All that ****ing your dad and sister has caused you to lose sense of reality, you didn't watch that fight, that much is obvious.

Haye was stopped on his feet, not what I would consider as being "punked hard"... why are half the US population so ****ing stupid, you're an embarrassment and perpetuate this stereotype that we are all stupid ****ers.

I've been saying that for years now. It's the most obvious prediction in boxing. Even a blind man could see it.He'd obliterate Wlad

He hasent had much to do at heavyweight, much of note anyways, so i fail to see how he will clean up everyone in the division. particulary klitschko, either of them.

Shut up, moron. You wish you had my genes or intellect.

I saw the fight. The old guy whipped Haye's ass and the puss' corner had to throw in the towel to save their china-chinned chump.

Haye is sh*t. He is nothing at heavyweight. Ibragimov would kick his ass. Peter would decapitate him. Wlad would humiliate him. Vitali could well murder him. Some non-entity like McCline would beat him down.

The guy isn't jack crap. He was destroyed by a 40 year old cruiser. That's all you need to know. He's a broke man's version of Chris Byrd, but nowhere near Byrd's skill level.

I could care less if you like him, that changes nothing. He's just another skinny heavy waiting to be beat down. He is sh*t.

you can hardly call Haye garbage either. He totally bullied his way to being undisputed Cruiserweight champ, no mean feat. I like his brashness, I just hope he can perform at heavy otherwise I will feel embarrassed for him. I don't see it being a problem though, especially as he is doing the right thing taking time out to pack on the extra 20-30lbs and make it stick.

oh and thompson didnt "whip haye's ass" in the slightest. Haye thought he had him beat and started throwing like 6, 7 hayemaker combinations, and when he couldnt knock out thompson due to either his freakishly hard head, or haye's lack of power, haye was screwed as he had zero energy. that's poor judgement. a more experienced haye would've held back and gone for the points win, or tried that assault in the later rounds.

Well nobody can really claim this till we've seen him in there with a formidable heavyweight... because of that suspect chin of his, you can't be sure whether he's going to be the next Evander

    Holyfield, or the next Jeremy

    Williams.

I'll reserve judgement on the guy till we can see what he does against a top heavy. I'm rooting for him though, it's about ****ing time we get someone who can breathe new life into this dreadful heavyweight scene.

Who cares. When one of your stupid, ignorant, "We're-so-ass-backward-we-still-have-monarchy" fellow Brits tries to go 'boy' with me I can and will ***** slap him like he was a hanging lob to Nadal at SW19.

There are people you can pull that stuff with. I'm not one of them. The faster you learn that, the less damage will come your way.

No wonder we kicked your guys' butts out of our country. David Haye is just another stick-and-bones HW who is going to be blasted out by the first real comp he faces. Hell, even Lenny could come out of retirement and put a hiding on Haye.

You guys used to have real fighters, like Benn. Now you have chumps like Fraudley Harrison and David Haye. What happened?

You guys can swing from his nuts as much as you like, but don't try to sell me on him. He's Jeremy Williams with a cockney accent, or whatever his particular dialect is. If I were you I would take as much joy as I could in him now, because before you now it, he's going to be getting bombed into nothingness like you guys were in WWII before we bailed your sorry asses out.

You can spin it however you like, but the would-be heavyweight king got beat down by a 40-year old cruiserweight.

Not a good sign when you are going against younger, heavier, stronger men.

Haye has talent. So did Chris Byrd, and many other too-small cruisers who tried to make the jump and got pummeled into oblivion when they met men much larger and stronger than them.

Let me put it like this: Haye is no Evander Holyfield. If he is not managed incredibly carefully as a HW his career and drawing power will be over very, very rapidly once he is KO'd emphatically by one of the big boys.
