David Haye - No Denying It!!!

Yeah, Gomez & Toney were more skilled fighters then Haye and they still have not won World titles.

Arguably Jirov is the same level. Haye gets knocked down all the time at cruiserweight and has questionable stanima. I wonder if Jirov, who is extremely durable and has great stanima could take Haye's shots , hit Haye on his horrible chin and Ko him. It could happen. I am sure if Jirov fought Mormeck for the Undisputed Cruiserweight title, Jirov would KO Mormeck as well. And I don't think Jirov would be put on the verge of being KTFO like Haye was by Mormeck. Mormeck is exhausted after 6 rounds, of a 12 round fight.

Jirov didn't have success at Heavyweight, but I think he was shot anyway by the time he moved up in weight.

Mock has KO'd only 12 of 40 opponents while fighting almost exclusively between 160 and 175. He had Haye flopping around like a fish on dry land. I have no idea how anyone can watch that fight and think Haye will just clean up the Heavyweight division.

His chin is a little shaky, but the dude has a glass temple, kind of like Cliff Etienne. Give him a tap on the head and he looks like a drunk sailor. Plus he eats too many right hands because he keeps his left hand way too low.

He'll string some wins together against carefully picked opposition before getting KTFO in spectacular fashion. Herbie Hide Jr.

 

This is why I don't come here as often as I used to. There's no point. People believe what they want to believe about the fighters they like and I'm not getting paid to write here. So I post less now. I used to be here all the time.

Someone asked earlier why I proclaimed myself a genius. It's not a self-proclamation, it's the result of IQ testing. And I wouldn'tve even brought it up except it served as a retort to the "red-neck moron" comment. In other words, I am the exact opposite of that remark.

All this started because some islanders want to prop-up a skinny HW in Haye. Whatever. He got KO'd as a cruiser and will be KO'd soon enough as a heavyweight. As I said above, I spend far less time on this stuff now here at ESB. What needed to be said about Haye by me has been said, same as I wrote a post recently about Margo/Cotto. As long as it's on the record and can be looked back at later, I'm good.

What else does Haye have to offer? I don't see him as being excessively skilled or anything. But I see a major liability- his chin.

You didn't see the fight, you boxrec'd it to pretend that your point carries substance, when the reality of it was that Haye was green and made big mistakes. He could be content to use his skill and speed and just jab his way to victory, but I have more respect for fighters that leave it all in the ring and go out on their shield.
