He landed more punches and better punches in the majority of the rounds regardless of how low the punch output of the round was. Only an idiot doesn't understand how that equates to winning. Haye beat Valuev because he fought more effectively. Valuev landed next to nothing for 36 minutes, and his aggression was the opposite of effective.
